Chapter 3- The Pre-Party; Audra POV

The drive home was not bad. Dad and I talked about the meeting and what I thought about it. Most of the time he was quite though like he was in deep thought about something so I just left him alone. When we made it back to the pack house it was dark but Morgan texted on the way home and still to see me and to let me know when we were back and she would come over. Once he pulled into the garage I asked if it was ok for Morgan to come over and spend the night since we had been gone all day. Dad looked at me and said "that's fine you did very well today better than I expected just don't stay up to late we have things to discuss tomorrow. I wanted to let you know I am proud of you and I know you think I crowd and shelter you too much but you are all I have left and when you are a parent you will understand better why I do what I do. I love you Audra have fun with Morgan." I look at my dad and run to him and give him a hug. He kisses my head and goes into the house. I follow after and go up to my room and text Morgan to come over and bring her stuff to sleep here because we have a lot to discuss. Morgan is at my house in less than five minutes and looks like she is about ready to bust at the seems and wants to know everything that happened today and I am so ready to share. Morgan says "I cannot believe you got to spend the day with five of the hottest wolfs on the planet. You are so lucky what was it like? Who did you like the best? Are they all single or do they have mates? What did you find out?" I Immediately start laughing "calm down girl we have all night to discuss what happened. I am not going to lie Morgan I was pulled to Saint immediately and more than once I caught him looking at me like he was ready to eat me like I was his favorite dessert. I don't think any of them are mated or have girlfriends. From what I learned they are all to busy with pack stuff and trying to tack over for there fathers that they don’t have much time for girls. They were all really nice to me we hung out after our part of the meeting was done which you saw when you called me. Then we went out to the training ground and spared a bit. You will be proud of me though, I asked Saint if he had a pair of shorts I could borrow and he said yes. I went and changed in his personal bathroom and I put on the shorts and then took of my shorts so all I wore was my sports bra on top and his shorts on the bottom. Morgan when I came out his bathroom and he saw me he growled at me and told me to change. Of course me being me I told him no and to get over him self you could tell he did not like that at all but got over it. He and I spared and he was not expecting me to be as good as I was and I put him on his ass. He was mad but then our fathers came out and said that they were finished. He hugged me and kissed the top of my head twice and kept holding my hand all day. What do you think it means? Oh by the way I snuck pictures if you want to see them." She screams and nods her head so I pull out my phone and she looks like she in love with all of them but she kept going back to look at Mason. Hmm that will have to be further evaluated later but right now my problem.

When she is looking at my phone I get a text from a number we do not recognize so we open it. It says "Hey Audra this is Saint I got your number from your dad a few moments ago he was on the phone with my dad when I got it. I hope that's ok and that you got home safe." We both scream and my dad comes running in the room like we are under attack. He asks "whats wrong? why are you girls screaming?" I tell him "we are find dad it was about my party. We got over excited sorry wont happen again." He smiles and says "that's fine you should be excited you only turn 18 once. Oh and by the way I gave your number to Saint he is a good kid and I do not mind you talking to him. He will probably text you tomorrow." Morgan and I just nod and tell him goodnight. He closes the door and we start to laugh. Morgan said "I cannot believe Saint is texting you and that your dad is the one to give him your number. I think I know what is going on but I don't want to assume." She bites her lip and ponders for a moment. I tell her "spit it out girl don't keep me waiting in suspense what do you think is going on." she looks at me dead in the face and says "I think Saint is your mate and since he is 18 and you are not he feels a pull to you but it is not fully formed yet because you are not 18 yet. This party needs to come fast I need to know if you are this is going to be EPIC and you guys are going to make beautiful babies. UGH Audra I am so jelly right now. You landed every girls wet dream and you don’t even know it yet. I am pretty sure that is what his dad and yours were discussing and that is why he gave him your number. I think your dad knows." I look at her with a shocked face. I am not 100% certain that is what it is but I am not denying or agreeing with anything yet. I tell her "I think you might be right but we will just have to wait and see. If that is is then this changes things but we will just see how it plays out." Morgan looks at me and says "I know he is your mate but we will wait until your party to confirm or deny. It is helpful now that you have is number because now I don’t have to get all of there addresses for invites you can tell Saint and he can pass it on to the other guys." She smiles with that devilish look that she gets when she is planning something and I know it cannot be good but I am going to go with it. "Ok so should I text him back or call him? I would not mind hearing his voice again but I do not want to seem needy." She ponders a moment then tells me "I would text him the date and time and that you made it home safe and that you had fun today then see what he says from there." We grab my phone and I start the message back, "Hey Saint it is perfectly fine that my dad gave you my number I don't mind at all. Morgan is here with me and she wanted me to give you the date and time for the party so she doesn't have to send out all the invites. We are hoping you could just pass it along to the others. The party is on May 16th it starts at 7pm." Not even five minutes after I sent it did he respond back and we both hover over the phone like it is our life line. "Hey sweets I am glad you got home safe. I will defiantly pass it on to the others and we will be there at your party on the 16th. Since Morgan is there ask her if we have to dress up because I do not really do the rave thing but for you I would." Morgan and I both silently scream not wanting my dad to come running in again. She tells me "text him they have to dress for the party or they will not be allowed in and I will be checking everyone that comes in and I will kick them out on their asses so fast." I laugh and say "Ok Morgan I think you are going to the extreme but I will text him what you said." I grab my phone again and respond "Morgan said that you have to dress for the party she is going to be standing guard and if you are not she will not let you in. She might be tiny but she is mean and will kick out on your ass faster than when I kicked it today ;)” We laugh as I send the message and wait for the response. He texts back "Ok I will let the guys know if she is anything like you I do not want to be on the receiving end of that so we will be dressed to party. I cannot wait until then. I am going to bed now sweets I have a early morning I got my ass handed to my by a beautiful girl today and apparently I need to train harder so I will talk to you tomorrow. Text me when you wake up." We both fall back on the bed and sigh. I cannot believe this is my life right now. i never would have thought this is what would have come out of today when I woke up this morning. Morgan and I get ready for bed and crash. All I can dream of is Saint.

When I wake up in the morning I wake up with butterflies in my stomach. Of course I wake up before Morgan because of my training but I get ready and grab my phone to head downstairs for breakfast. When I look at my phone I see there is already a message from him that came in about 20 minutes ago. Man he is up early it is only 5:30 now. "Good morning sweets I know I said for you to text me when you got up but I could not wait until then and I will probably be busy the rest of the days with just a few moments to respond. We had an attack on our perimeter last night that we need to sort out. I hope you slept well. Text me back when you get up." I smile to myself I think of waking up Morgan but she is grumpy if you wake her up so I let her sleep I will tell her later. I text back "Good morning to you as well I was just thinking you were up super early but with all of that going on I completely understand. I did sleep very well. I am on my way to breakfast then training since I missed last night."  On my way downstairs my phone starts to ring it scares me no one every calls me this early. I look and see that it's Saint. I answer and he starts talking "Good Morning sweets I am glad that you slept well. I am sorry that you have to go to training so I wont take long on the phone I just wanted to hear your voice." I laugh "Good Morning to you as well I thought about calling you but I didn't now I am glad that you did. I don't mind going to training it just means I get to hone my ass kicking skills even more." I can hear him smirk on the phone "I do not think your skills need to be perfected any more than what they already are, you proved that yesterday. But I can appreciate a girl that does not mind to get her hands dirty you don't see that much these days. What are you eating for breakfast? Why do you eat before and not after?" I do a major eye-roll " I do a pre-workout protein shake before and then a real breakfast after. But I think today our cook Omega Sandy is making my favorite chocolate chip waffles with whip cream, bacon, eggs, and hash-browns. So I really need to workout before I eat that but it is so worth it." He says "that sounds delicious and I wish I could be there to share it with you. You do not need to work out to eat that you are perfect as you are and don’t let anyone tell you other wise, if they do I will kick their ass myself. Hey sweets I have to go we are going to interrogate one of the rogues we caught last night trespassing and I don't want you to hear what is about to happen I will talk to you later ok." Cue eye-roll again "Ok I will talk to you later and be careful." He laughs and we say good bye at the same time and I hang up the phone.

My dad is already up and in the kitchen when I get down there which is no surprise he is a very early riser. He sees me come in with this smile on my face and asks "who were you on the phone with just now? You seem happy this morning and normally that is not the case." I look at him and tell him "it was Saint he texted last night and we have been talking then he called me just now because he will be really busy all day. They had a rouge try to cross over into their territory in the middle of the night last night and he was going with his dad to interrogate him and see what he knows. He wanted to talk to me before he went down there and to have a good day." My dad looks at me with a puzzled look but then it goes away "Hmm I will call and talk to James later and see if they need any help since we have not had a rouge try to cross in awhile. Maybe see if he needs more wolfs in case some of his were injured or something. I am glad that talking to Saint makes you happy. Did you and Morgan talk more about your party last night?" I laugh and respond "yes we did and it is on my birthday at 7pm. It is a rave theme we are doing it here they are renting some tents to have the party in. Saint and the guys said that they are already coming.” My dad nods in response and says "well let Morgans mom know to send me the bill for everything and I will pay for it. You are a good kid with a good head on your shoulders and deserve the best so that is what you will get. Now drink your shake and go to training I think Drew is out there waiting for you." Cue internal eye-roll because you never want to eye-roll at your alpha if you want to live even if he is your dad. I kiss him on the cheek and head out the door.

Drew is ready for me as usual he is like my dad an early riser and no nonsense man. I start stretching and warming up for my 10 mile run. Once I am ready Drew and I head off. I am normally the fastest one in the pack so by time Drew comes back I am already doing my cool down stretching. Once we are both cooled down and limber Drew starts sparing with me and we do that for two hours then Drew let’s me go. Since it’s Sunday I go inside and shower while Sandy makes me a plate for breakfast. I don’t see Morgan downstairs so I am guessing she is still sleeping. When I open my bedroom door she is still on my bed snoozing away. I debate waking her up now but I decide to wait until I shower the I will wake her up and tell her about my conversation this morning with Saint. Once I am all dressed I hop up on the bed and wake up Morgan who growls at me in response. I tell her “wake up Morgan I have news to tell you that involves Saint.” Her head immediately pops up in response and looks at me and says “you are luck I love you and I am fully invested in your relationship with this man other wise we would not be friends right now. I’m going to shower and change then you better spill it over breakfast.” I roll over and start laughing while she goes to the bathroom. When she comes out she looks fully awake and ready to have a conversation so I grab her hand as drag her downstairs to breakfast because I am hungry and I am ready to tell her all about Saint. When we sit down with full plates Morgan looks at me and says “spill it sister!! What happened this morning while I was sleeping.” I look around to see who could hear then I start talking “ok so you know how Saint said to text him when I woke up this morning. well he texted me first about 20 minutes before I woke up said he was up early due to a rogue attack on their perimeter and he would be busy today but to still text him when I woke up.” She smiled at me from across the table with a mouth full of food then swallowed and said “you two are definitely mates no denying it now I’m so excited it feels like I’m living vicariously through you! What else happened did he respond to your message?” I laughed at her while I rolled my eyes and told her “yes he did he actually called me” she did a mini scream with again a mouth full of food and looked at me to keep going “I answered it of course and we talked for a few minutes he said he wanted to talk to me before he went in to interrogate the rogue they caught last night. I told him to be careful and he said he would call me later today when he had a free moment. Morgan I think I am really starting to like him I feel safe and it makes me feel good when I talk to him and hear his voice. Am I crazy?” She looks at me like I’m crazy then said “no what you are feeling is completely normal. He probably feels more than you do which I know is hard to believe but he also has his wolf to contend with as well imagine what he is going through. You guys were meant to be together. Your birthday cannot come fast enough.” Morgan and I ate a bit more then we both went upstairs she got her stuff ready and went home I worked on homework then crashed for a nap. It was around 3pm when I woke up. I had not realized how tired I was. I heard a knock on my door then dad came in. “Hey pumpkin I hope you had a good nap I came in to check on you about 30 minutes ago and you were asleep. I need you to come to my office we are going to have a quick meeting with the other alphas about the rouges and I need your help setting it up.” I get up and follow him to his office. My dad is smart but not very tech savvy so they wanted to do via zoom call so I set up his webcam and when we were connected it looked like all the other guys were helping there dads as well. We all looked at each other and started laughing. Saint said “sorry guys it was my idea to have them do a zoom call I didn’t think they would have had such a problem setting it up.” His dad glared at him and we all laughed again. JJ said “hey Audra Saint told us about your party on the 16th we are super exited are you ready?” I smiled and said “yes! I cannot wait I have never been so excited about my birthday before but I think it’s going to be great I am so excited you guys are all coming. Morgan is super hyped about it to.” My dad interrupted our conversation we kind of forgot they were there and said “if you guys don’t mind we actually have current issues to discuss at the moment.” He lifted his eyebrow at me and smirked. We all moved and let our dad’s talk. I went and sat on the couch by his desk and listened to the conversation. It went on for over two hours around 5:30 my stomach started marking noise saying it was hungry. Dad heard it and suggested they end the call for the night and they can discuss more tomorrow all the alphas agreed and hung up the call. At dinner dad was mostly in his head thinking or on his phone so it was quite which was good because I was in my own head thinking about Saint and the other packs. My dad got up and kissed my head and went up to his office. I went to my room and got ready for bed. When I got out of the bathroom my phone was going off. It was Saint he was Face Timing me I immediately answered before I realized I was in my jammies oh well. I answered the phone and got comfy in bed. He smiled at me “hey sweets how was your day?” I smiled back “it was good I did my training, hung out with Morgan for a bit, did some homework, took a nap and that’s about it. How was your day?” He smirked “I noticed you did not say anything about our meeting did you not like seeing all of us?” Cue eye roll “of course I did but I thought that went without saying. Are you done for today did you figure out what was going on with the rouge?” He grimaced “it went as well as expected he wouldn’t really say anything but we will try again tomorrow. Hey sweets I have to let you go my dad just came in the room. I will talk to you tomorrow.” I smiled and said “ok bye talk to you tomorrow.” I hung up the phone and went to sleep and dreamed of Saint again. The next week went by it was normal with school and training the only new add in was Saint. We talked in the morning and at night before I went to sleep. The day of my party is tomorrow and I cannot wait.
