Finding the One True Alpha

Chapter 6- The First Training; Audra POV

Bang, went JJ’s body as he landed on the ground again by me. I was starting to feel bad for the guy. Yes he was bigger than me but I was faster. He looked at me “did you really have to throw me that hard Audra? That one hurt.” I looked at him with a pouty face “I’m sorry JJ I am still coming into my new found strength after shifting for the first time I guess.” He nodded “you are also faster than I am. I need your help on helping me become faster it has never been my strong suit. I usually just use my muscle to get the job done but apparently I need to step up my game.” He is bent over panting and I am laughing my butt off “you got it buddy since you are letting me beat you up. I will help you with your speed and endurance. You will be fast and lean in no time.” He smiled and nodded at me as he walked off the training ground to go get a drink of water. Drew our trainer looks over at me and I can see him smirking at what I just did to JJ. He walks over “Audra I am going to let the guys go but I need you to stay to do some extra training on your wolfs abilities. Your dad called in someone special to help but he does not want any one to see her yet. So go get water and I will dismiss the guys and make everyone else leave the training ground and make sure everyone knows not to come out here for a couple of hours.” I nod in response and walk of. I see him talking to the guys and they all nod and look happy to be done. Saint comes over to me “I saw what you did to JJ over there. Just remember he is a friend and to not be so hard on him. I am going to go inside and shower I supposed you have to stay here for a little bit for your extra special training.” I nod “yes I will be here still for a couple of hours still. Drew said that my dad called in some one special to help me train and use my powers but I have no idea who it is. He said my dad didn’t want it know to everyone just yet so that is why he is dismissing everyone so we can have the training ground to ourselves without a disturbance.” He looks at me with love in his eyes “ok baby I love you have fun and be careful please.” I kiss him “I love you too I will be careful see you in a bit.” He gave me on last kiss then walked off to the house.  

Once everyone left the training field Drew linked me your special trainer is on her way. I will warn you she is not fully wolf but she knows what she is doing. Your dad paid her a lot of money to come help you so listen to what she tells you. Your training will last 2 hours this time it will increase as your powers grow. I sighed like I would really screw this up I cannot believe the lack of faith he has in me. Ok Drew I got it your lack of faith is a little disheartening. You have trained me since day one you know how serious I am taking this. I will not let you, my dad, and my pack down. I see her coming I have to go. I end the link and block everyone out I know he is not liking my response he is not used to people talking back to him but he needs to trust me. I am sure once I am done here, we will be having words later. I see my trainer getting closer I walk over to meet her and I am stunned by what I see. She is beautiful and powerful I want to be like her when I grow up. Her skin is this caramel color and her hair is as black as night. Her eyes are the most intriguing thing though one is silver and one is blue. She is a little shorter than I am I would say about 5’7 but she is strong. I can see her smirk as I walk up to her. She is sizing me up as well. We stop and look at each other. She speaks first “I guess you are who I am supposed to be training. I can tell there is something different about you but I have not quite figured it out yet. I am Rose. What is your name.” I look at her shocked I fumble with my words a little bit. “m-my name is Audra. I am surprised my father did not tell you.” She nods “nice to meet you Audra. Your dad did not tell me your name because I did not ask. I like for the person that I am training to tell me. I can tell a lot about a person as soon as they speak their name. I can also tell if it is their true name or if they are lying to me. I don’t like liars and do not have time for them.” I nod and smile in agreement. “I am the same way I think we will get along just fine. If you do not mind me asking I know your are only half wolf what is your other half?” she laughs “I see we don’t like to beat around the bush either you and I will defiantly not have any problems. Yes I am part wolf my other half is a witch. I can see your wheels turning I will explain my past later. We only have 2 hours and I need to see what I am working with. Shift let me see your wolf.” I nod and take off my clothes since it is only us two here and shift. I can here her shocked voice when she looks at me. “Audra you are beautiful and I can feel your power radiating from your wolf. For someone who shifted for the first time not to long ago you are very big and strong. You are much larger than normal female wolfs. I am putting most of that towards your alpha blood it is pure. There is still some that I am putting towards your mom I think she was stronger than she let people think she was. When you shift back let your wolf take control, I would like to talk to her as well.” I nod I wonder what she means about my mom could she have met her. I don’t know how she does not look much older than myself but people are full of surprises.

I shift back and get dressed letting Jewel come forward and letting her take control from here. Jewel knows I want to ask about my mom. Jewel talks to me before speaking to Rose “I will ask her the questions little one do not worry. I since her she is older than she lets on but she means no harm. I think this is the best thing that could of happened to us. We are going to become stronger and our bond will grow as well. We will fully become one.” I let myself feel all of my power “ok Jewel I cannot wait to see what she knows. I am going to let you talk to her now.” Jewel and I end the link and I give her full control of my human form. I feel the power with in us it is even stronger now. Jewel looks at Rose “Hello Rose I am Jewel.” Rose nods and smiles “Hello Jewel you and your human are very strong together. I have only felt this kind of power within somebody a handful of times in my life time and I have been around a while. You have a old spirit. I’m guessing that you know what I am getting at but will not deliberately come out and say it to protect the girl. What have you been called in the past. I know you are not a normal wolf spirit.” Jewel smirks at Rose “you are smarter than you look. I am not a normal spirit I was hand chosen by the mood goddess herself for this pup. I have had many names but my first and true name is Proserpina. I was born a long time ago I have been many things I my life time but I was first a goddess of nature. I was sent here as a favor to the moon goddess.” As I sit back and listen to the conversation between these two, I am shocked. My wolf is an ancient Roman Goddess. Rose bows her head a little bit in respect “I knew you were different. Why did the mood goddess send you here?” Jewel sighs I can tell she was not ready to give up this information yet but under the circumstances she has to now. “I was sent to watch over this pup she is special and she is strong enough to hold the power without losing control. Even though she is young she is strong and wise beyond her years. Once the challenge is over there will be a battel and it will not be easy. The wolfs will need Audra and I by their sides if they want a fighting chance. I am glad you are here to help.” Rose nods in understanding “How long after the challenge is over with and the one true alpha is chosen will we have until the battel starts?” “Not long Rose I am not sure that part was blurry when the prophecy was told to me but it will happen it is only a matter of time.” I can see Rose ponder this statement “ok then we need to get you and Audra ready then. We will need to ease her into your full powers it will take time but she can do it. I want to start now and just see what she can do. Can you give her control now?” Jewel nods in agreement “Yes Rose she will come forward. Just one more question, did you know Audra’s mother?” Rose nods “Yes I did but that is a story for a different day.” I am slowly taking control from Jewel so we both nod in agreement. I look at Rose “well that was interesting. How did you know about my wolf?” Rose smirks “It is one of my gifts little pup. The power coming off of you is not normal and it has very little to do with your alpha blood but that only strengthens it. I could tell you have old magic in you magic that I have not felt in a long time.” Audra c***s her head to the side “Rose, exactly how old are you?” Rose laughs “very bold little pup but let’s just say I have been around over a century or two.” I see the mischief twinkle in her eye. I laugh “ok that’s a good enough answer for me. Are we ready to start?”

Rose leads me to the middle of the training field and stops. “Ok little one I want you to relax and close your eyes I want you to block out everything except what you feel. What is around you and what you can smell and hear. Your wolf is ancient and is a earth goddess feel her power flow through you to the trees down below to the ground and the dirt. Feel the life that the earth has.” I do as she says I can feel everything. The way the grass and trees move in the wind I can feel the earth as the roots and living creatures go through it. I can feel all the animals around me. I can sense that they notice my presences but they are not afraid they are curious. I can feel them move around me. I feel the pull of something trying to come up from the ground I feel the roots forming I help it grow and I open my eyes and there are flowers all around me. I feel like the sun is beaming right down on me and the wind is shifting acknowledging me and who I am. Rose looks shocked. “Wow that was a lot more than what I thought was going to happen. You pup are not normal and I know that was not all Jewel you were channeling her but that was all you. You truly are the earth goddess reborn.” I laugh “ok that was not what I was expecting either. Now I have to pull way all these flowers so people can use the training ground again.” Rose nods “Ok so you know how you felt the pull to bring them up. Try and feel that same thing again to bring them down.” I close my eyes and feel everything around me again. I feel down into the earth and I pull the flowers down with me. When I open my eyes everything looks normal. “Ok that was easier than I thought it would be.” Rose is looking at me “Audra that was not supposed to be easy. What you just did takes witches and other people with powers a long time to master and still cannot do it as gracefully as you did. You look like you barley broke a sweat. Most of the witches that I know would be passed out by now pulling that much power.” I nod laughing “Well you did say I was a goddess.” Rose rolls her eyes “yes I did but do not let it go to your head you have not been fully blessed yet. You still have a lot to learn although I have a feeling it will not take as long as I thought it would.” She looks at me fully. I feel myself starting to feel drained a bit mentally. “Audra that is enough training for today. Go inside and eat and rest. I will see you tomorrow.” I nod “goodbye Rose it was nice to meet you. I will see you tomorrow.” She waves and I walk back to the house completely drained and hungry at this point. All I want is food and sleep. But I know I will have to talk to the others first before I can sleep. The thought of telling them what I discovered about myself is kind of nerve wracking but it will feel good I do not like secrets and if there is going to be a war we need to start preparing all the packs now.

When I walk into the house I go directly towards the kitchen I smell food and I want it all. I walk in and see all of the guys plus Morgan sitting there. They all look at me as I enter the room. They are all eating lunch it looks like it is sandwiches and chips. I grab a plate and pile on 2 sandwiches and a whole lot of chips. They all look at me as I scarf them down like I have not been fed in ages. “What why are you all looking at me like that. I just came from some very intense training and I am starving.” Saint laughs and comes to hold me “it’s ok baby we were just surprised to see you. How did your training go?” I look at him while still eating. “It went really well I like the person that my dad got to train me I hope you all get to meet her one day she is really cool. I learned some stuff that you all need to hear but I want to do it with our fathers present as well so I will not have to repeat myself and can answer all questions at once.” Saint nods “Ok love finish eating and I will go let our fathers know so they can be ready when you are done.” I nod and he kisses my forehead walking off. I eat the rest of my food and grab a sandwich for the road. I look at the others “Ok let’s get this over with now.” They all nod and follow still not saying anything. Once we get to my fathers office and we all pile in I walk over to where my dad is sitting and hug him and whisper in his ear, “thank you for bringing me Rose dad she is the best.” He looks and smiles at me and nods “ok Audra what did you learn today Saint said you had a lot to tell us.” I nod and take a deep breath trying to figure out where to begin.

I stood next to my father and looked out at everyone. “I have learned quite a few things today first of all there is a war coming. I don’t know when and I don’t know where but it is coming and we all need to be ready. I was informed that it will be after the lead alpha is chosen and the challenges are done.” My father looks at me “How do you know this pup? Who told you?” I glance at him “It was my wolf who did when she was talking to my special trainer. Which leads me to my next discovery. My wolf is not a normal wolf.” They all look at me like I have two heads. Alpha James asks “What do you mean not normal?” I take a deep breath to calm my nerves I feel Jewel in the back of my mind giving me strength. “I found out my wolfs true name her first name given to her is Proserpina. The Roman Earth Goddess. She was chosen by the moon goddess to watch over me and to lead me into this battle that is coming. She said that I am the only one strong enough to hold and wield all of her power plus my own that I inherited from my mother. So I guess you could say I am a goddess.” Everyone’s jaws drop as the look at me. I feel my self turn blush and try to hide. My dad senses that is not all of the story “Audra what else happened out there?” I look at him “I played with some of my powers I made flowers grow all in the training ground and then pushed them back down. Rose said that most witches have to train for years to be able to do what I did in the span of about an hour. Most of them would have also collapsed after using that much power I barely broke a sweat. It did make me tired and hungry but I am fine now.” I see my dads wheels turning “Ok so that was a good first day of training. Is there anything else you can tell us about this battle that is coming our way? What do we need to do to prepare for it?” I look at him then all the other alphas “You guys need to get the word out to all of the smaller packs. We are going to need numbers and they will need our protection. Make all the alliances you can get as many wolfs on our side as possible. The more numbers we have the more of a fighting chance we have.” All of the alphas look at each other. Alpha James speaks first “I think we can do that we will need to help train them and get them all on the same page but that should not be a problem. You guys need to focus on your challenges and get ready. Train as hard as you can. It wont matte who wins the challenge when the battle comes will need all of you to fight and lead the packs.” All of us nod at our fathers. My dad looks at me “All of you are free to go we need to start making calls and you all need to rest and get ready for tomorrow.” We all get up and leave at the same time.

Saint pulls me the other direction from everyone else and we take the back hallway and stairs to my room. I know he has more questions for me that he does not want the others to hear just yet. Once we get to my room he pulls me in and closes the door. He turns around and looks at me “Ok so what else happened out there?” I look at him “my trainer knew my mother. This is the first connection I have had with someone who knew her and is wiling to talk to me about it and not brush me off because the alpha does not want anyone to talk about her.” He nods his head and pulls me into a hug. “Saint I am tired and I am not going to lie what I learned today from Jewel kind of scared me. This battle it is going to be bad. We are going to lose people we love. We need to be ready.” He pulls my chin up so I am looking at him “We will be ready baby we are the strongest there is and no one can take you away from me. I promise you and I will be together for a long time.” I nod and fall into his chest as he pulls me into the bed I know I need to go shower but sleep is calling me and I go to it willingly.
