The hospital clock blinked 2:17 AM as Aria Song wiped the last trace of exhaustion from her eyes. Her shift had been long, filled with the steady rhythm of beeping monitors and whispered prayers from worried families. But now, finally, the corridors were quiet — save for the soft patter of rain against the windows. She pulled her nurse’s jacket tighter around her slender frame and stepped outside. The night air was cool and damp, the city lights blurred by the downpour. The streets were nearly empty, save for the occasional car splashing through puddles. The passenger window slid down silently, revealing a sharp, intense pair of gray eyes. “Aria Song,” the voice said—deep, commanding, yet oddly familiar. She blinked, startled. “Do I know you?” The man stepped out, tall and statuesque, his messy black hair plastered by rain. His sharp gray eyes locked onto hers, unreadable yet intense. “You saved my brother,” he said, his voice low and certain. “Now you’re mine.” Before she could react, she felt a prick at the base of her neck—a sudden wave of dizziness washing over her. Her vision blurred, the world tilting as darkness swallowed her. The last thing she heard was his voice, calm and chilling: “I told you I’d come for you.”
