DeathThe next morning they entered the longhouse at the designated time. The old men were on the dais waiting for them.
'We have decided on a task for you to complete,' the leader said. 'There's a black dragon living near here. He sometimes takes our animals, and occasionally people. You'll destroy him. You look like adventurers and so we think this is an appropriate task.'
'A dragon?' Kimi breathed. 'Did he say a dragon?'
'Is this too much for you? If you cannot perform this task, then we can't escort you across the rest of the Swamp. You must go alone.'
