First day of work

594 Words
No time to loose. „Let us get to work right away, Chuck“ Mike says. I guess he means the two of us. I make myself comfortable at the desk and chair in front of the door. Just like a receptionist. Mike gets up from his chair. „Come on, a smoke, then we’ll start“ Mike adds. He walks past me. And Chuck follows him. He goes slow, but his big steps and his present moving blows his scent towards me.. phu..mhmm His smell is amazing. It gets me in a little flash. But I stay focused. I look for some paper, find some pens and pencils. I check out the desktop and try to find out what had been on it so far already. Not much as I can see. So I grab my water bottle. I better stay hydrated with a clear mind. As the guys are done smoking they come back inside. „Dawina, just write down what we tell you. It is going to be an offer for a customer. You make a list as we tell you and make it look good afterwards. We will throw numbers at you. They are prices. Add fifteen to twenty percent to them and set them on the list as we go through it.“ Mike explains to me. Ok..I think. There is not much about showing me around. This is more the swim in the cold water company. But it is alright. This is my job. And I know what I am doing. I will definitely be capable of even that. So i sink into my chair, open up the write and calculate program, grab my pencil and paper and get ready for a big mess to get thrown at me. The office is long coming from the entrance. And right at the one side there is my desk standing now. At the other side there is a small couch standing. A 2-seater in light brown. Mike just walks past it and sits back in the back of his office. Right into his big chair again. But Chuck stops. I watch him. He sits on the little Coach. Where he looks at me. „We have the costs for vehicle per km, the Labour, the Material..“Mike starts with. I just make some notes. „Yeaaaaah, but let’s just start with the labour. Let’s go through what’s to do there and how much.“ Chuck falls him in his listing. „Yeah, good. You make your list. Go through it and tell Dawina.“ is what Mike answered. So Chuck explains the construction to me and what exactly their job could be if the customer accepted their offer. I write down professionally every point and every price. I am glad I know my business so I cannot get too distracted by this art of a man sitting in front of me. He speaks slow. And calm. But keeps eye contact. He probably already knows that I am wet between my legs. His voice is so deep. And how he explains every step of his work to me.. talking about all the bricks and terrace stones he would have to professionally lay into the ground, after straightening out the gravel underneath.. It makes me feel I am kind of there at the construction myself. But I get it done good. Mike is happy with me. We set up my working schedule for the future. And after five hours of working on this offer with them, he sends me home.
