Mathew walks up to spot Summer was sitting on a while ago. He couldn't make up his mind. What the hell happened just now? How could she just disappear? The door bell rings as Mathew rotates to realize Aunt Lisa had came. He went down the stairs in a dash to welcome her. He unlocks the door peaking his head through the arc. Auntie Lisa wears a pained smile. Assuring it's her, he widens the space for her. '' Hello dear.... '' She entered inside. Mathew immediately hugs her pretending that's his mom. '' It's gonna be fine Matt. '' Aunt Lisa caress his hair as she kissed him on the top of his head reassuring everything. Mathew leans back a little questioning, '' How's mom? '' Aunty Lisa stares at his honey brown eyes with affection, '' She's okay. '' Aunt Lisa lies but still that little lie eases Mathew a bit. '' I brought you food. You must be famished. '' Mathew looks at the packets in her hand and nodded his head agreeing with her. Aunt Lisa walks up to the kitchen as Mathew glares at the stairs. He races upstairs to check one last time. He steps into his room breathing higher. He spins around as he inspected every corner. Finding nothing he turns his feet to walk the other way. The minute he tries to leave a wave of air flattens on his shoulder. He leapt being surprised as he faced her. '' You should have seen your face. '' She says moving backwards. She starts laughing placing her hand in her stomach as she wasn't able to breath. Mathew was irritated by the stupid prank she played. '' This is not a joke.'' His eyes squinted. Summer adjusted her position standing erectly . '' Come on... I was just messing with you. Don't take it to heart,'' She purses her lips replying. '' Mathew.... food is ready. '' Aunty Lisa screams from the kitchen. '' Who is that?'' Summer asked. '' That's my aunt. '' Mathew recalls that it was Aunt Lisa that told Summer to come by their house. So, suspecting he questioned her rapidly, '' Wait, I thought you knew. '' '' Wasn't she the one to sent you here?'' Summer's expression changes as Mathew could tell she wasn't happy with the enquiring. '' Yeah. '' She replied simply with no emotions. '' Mathew... '' Aunt Lisa again calls. '' Yeah. Coming! '' He looked back at Summer to say, '' You coming to meet her? '' Summer replied reappearing her smile. '' Yeah sure. I will be right behind you. '' They both walked down and Mathew could swear he heard steps of walking with her. When they reached the down floor he rotated to let her know the path but something mysterious happened. Summer wasn't there anymore. '' What the hell is wrong with this girl? '' He thought she was playing around. '' Fine.. enjoy your hide and seek I will be in the kitchen. '' He leaves the room as he rushed to the kitchen. '' Who were you talking to? '' Aunty Lisa questioned as she sets up the plates. A rough slamming noise of the door reached both of their ears. Mathew comprehended maybe Summer left. He didn't want to include her name to Aunt Lisa. Since, she may feel bad that Summer left without greeting knowing she was here. '' That was no one. Must be the wind. '' He exclaims grabbing a bite of his sandwich before Aunt Lisa could say something. After eating, Mathew decides to leave the room. With a few steps, he rotates to see Aunt Lisa washing the dishes. It reminded him of his mom. Pain invaded into his veins as he thought of her. How is she? How hurt must she be to lie there for so long? All of this happened for that one man he can't hate. He walked towards Aunt Lisa as he wore a pair red gloves set on the counter. '' What are you doing Mathew? You should be resting, not helping me with chores.'' He ignores her sentence and silently proceeded to begin the washing. He couldn't speak because he was afraid his voice might break and he definitely didn't wanna sound helpless. Mathew enters his room. His room gave a wonted vibe. Abiding the strange feeling he decided to lay down on his comfy bed and soon his eyes were closed. A sound of humming reaches Matthew's ears. His eye lids opened in a flash. ''MOM!'' He mumbles. His room looked brighter than before. '' Was it a dream? While climbing down the stairs his vision seemed quite rusty to him. He observed his mom singing while continuing making something. He runs to her to embrace her. The moment his face is hugging her stomach like a soft pillow he raises his head feeling a strange vibe. His mom was faceless. He backtracks fearing to see the creature standing in front of him. '' MOM! '' He was disbelieving his own sight. He screamed at the top of his lungs. '' MOM! '' And that's when he woke up. '' Mathew.'' Aunt Lisa raced upstairs hearing Mathew. Matthew's throat was dry. He couldn't speak nor breathe. He kept slamming his hands on his chest to release the jammed air out. Noticing his behavior, Aunt Lisa's hand rushed to the table beside the bed where a water bottle was standing. She instantly hands it Mathew. '' What happened? Another nightmare? '' Mathew starts reminiscing the whole thing. Nightmares weren't something new to him. But such ones never occured before. The dreadful dream gave him willies.
