My phone rang off the hook the whole drive back to the pack house, no doubt Irene wondering where the hell we were. I glanced in the back, where Kane sat cradling Kaida in his arms. He shot a nasty glare at my phone as it began to ring once more, Irene’s name lighting up my screen.
“Either answer it or turn it off, but I swear to the Goddess, if that damn thing rings one more time I’m chucking it out the window” Kane growled out. I had no doubt he would hold true to his words, not even feeling an ounce of remorse over chucking out my brand new phone. Not wanting to have to buy myself a new one, I chucked the phone back to him.
