Brone looked as if he were ready to murder Casey, the vein in his temple twitching and bulging from the red hot anger he was feeling from the humiliation of being so completely overwhelmed by another Alpha, Lycan or not.
Not wanting the situation to escalate further, I reached out toward Brone, running my hand along his shoulders soothingly, hoping this would calm him down enough to let the matter pass. His jaw twitched in irritation, but he quickly calmed down, leaning into where my hand touched his neck. He reached up, pulling my hand to his lips and kissed my knuckles lovingly.
