I look at him, then at the runway, then back at him.
“Do you like your surprise?” he asks, a grin spreading across his face.

I throw myself at him and hug him tightly.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” I kiss him on the cheek and tighten my embrace.
“This is the best gift ever! Thank you, Ethan” I repeat as I excitedly bounce up and down beside him.
“We haven't even started yet. Save the thanks for after our flight!” He laughs and playfully ruffles my hair.
I can't believe it. We are standing on a private airport runway. I recognize this airport. We used to take some of our flying lessons here.
