Chapter 15
Genie
For thousands of years, Genie had terrorized the creatures of the earth. Many of the humans even referred to Genie as the devil. Generations of humans drew the genie on cave walls as a ghoulish creature with horns and fangs ready to eat their children.
Genie was never as bad as all of that, but he did enjoy making humans suffer. They were like ants to him and every so often, Genie enjoyed putting his foot through an ant’s nest. He never considered it much harm. He simply enjoyed watching all of the little human ants scatter.
The angels had laid a pretty good trap for him, though. An angel had pretended to be a human willing to do anything to get his wish fulfilled. This was what Genie found the most amusing. The human language was so imprecise that all he had to do was
