Casey and Kenny had spent the day in the secret library together. She'd talked to Drew for a while on their way there. They'd read for hours and Kenny had fallen asleep on her lap, she was now carrying him to bed. She was staring at the stairs contemplating how she'd get up to her room.
"Need help?" Damien asked. He was coming down the stairs his hair still wet from the shower he must have taken. Goddess, the man smelled good. Casey wanted to reject his assistance but she clearly needed it. Her baby bump was growing bigger every day.
"Yes, please." She said in the most normal tone she could master, trying as hard as possible to mask the anger slowly simmering within her. Damien took Kenny from her and started to walk up the stairs.
"Casey?" He asked when they got to the top of the stair
