Casey went back to her room, blinding rage simmering in her blood. Kenny and Maia weren't in the room. She was grateful. She sat at the foot of her bed and tried to breathe. It took a hot minute but she eventually got herself under control. She stared at the envelope that was still in her hand. She opened the document and thoroughly read through the document, something about the formal tone and the black on white had her in tears. She really was Kenny's legal guardian. She might be furious with Damien but Casey recognized he did good. She put the envelope on her bed and went to wash her face. Casey hadn't discussed any of this with Kenny, it was time. Kenny and Maia walked back into the room as Casey was leaving the bathroom. They were in a cheery mood.
