Firstly, she does not really know him that much, but the little she knows is that, Yes, he is what they call a big fish, Jason, who is 31 years old, and prefers to be called Jay, is a proper high-value man who is very good-looking. He is powerful, enigmatic, and confident. He was also declared one of Forbes' youngest billionaires, Jay is infact a celebrity. Emily had only seen Jay a few times, during charity galas, art exhibition shows, business retreats, and so on, And he was always the center of attraction, so there was never a need to introduce herself. She actually never really bothered, because Emily knew that she was not his type. I mean this man moves with pretty models, vixens, actresses etc., so Emily already knew that she stood no chance. Now her father is talking about them getting married, like how did they get there? It was actually Don Tony’s idea. Her dad revealed to her that Don Tony, who had been watching her for a while now, felt Emily would be a perfect match for his son Jay. His dad was so sick and tired of his extravagant lifestyle, and Casanova ways, he clearly didn’t want to settle down, So Mr Fredrick and Don Tony agreed on a deal that, for Don Tony to help him recover all he had lost, with profits too, he had to convince his daughter to marry his son. And now her father is here, pleading with her to marry Jason. She needed time to be alone and think, so she inquired that he give her some time to reflect on the whole situation at hand, Emily kept wondering what she would do. She either has to choose love or her family, Like how she could betray her boyfriend, she couldn’t even face him to tell him about wanting to marry another man, but then again, she remembered the look on her father's face, begging her to accept the proposal. He sounded so desperate. Jay went to his father’s mansion. It was indeed the biggest house in the entire estate. It was a luxurious mansion in the heart of LA, so most times Jay goes to his father's house to see his family, when he needs a change of environment or when he is being summoned by his dad, just like he is now. Jay didn’t bother driving over from San Diego, where he lived, to Los Angeles, where his parents lived, He was actually hungover from the previous day's partying, so he had to leave the driving to his personal driver. He hoped that somebody had not gone to report to his dad again about his extravagant lifestyle, but this time around that wasn’t it. In fact, the news he was hearing came as a big blow to him. What does his father mean by saying he would have to marry his friend's daughter if he wanted to take over his company? Who the hell was Emily? Jason had never even seen Emily before. The only thing he has heard about her is that she is Mr Fredrick’s only child, and she was also the manager of his company. After so much thought, Emily decided to go with her family. There was no way she was going to disappoint her dad, and watch him lose everything he owns. But Emily knew that the only way she was going to accept the proposal was if it was a contract marriage, She would be married to Jay for 2 years, and then separate when the contract had expired. At least that way, she could still be with her boyfriend, and, if possible, officially get married to him after the two-year contract, But Emily hoped she would be able to handle being the love of her life, while also being secretly married to Jay, the fact that she had to lie to Andrew, who had been nothing but the best, They had been dating for 3 years now, and he had always been so sweet towards her, but she also didn’t have the courage to tell him about the contract marriage. That would definitely end their relationship, so she had to be brave and live a lie for 2 years. Jay had no choice but to accept the condition given to him by his dad, He was to marry his friend’s daughter. If he wanted to take over his father's company, that was the only way he stood a chance. He was to get married and, if possible, give him grandchildren. Jay actually felt a little bit better when Mr Fredrick called and told them that his daughter agreed to the proposal, but with the condition that it had to be a contract marriage, At first, Don Tony kicked against the idea, then he asked that they make it 3 years, but Emily declined, so after much persuasion, Don Tony finally agreed to the 2-year marriage contract. Jay was also in support of the idea, All he had to do was get the marriage over and done with, and go back to his great life. He just hoped that the 2 years would come and go quickly. The weekend finally came. Emily was actually dreading it. She was expected to go over to the Micheal’s mansion, so she could spend time with the Micheal’s, get to know their ways, sign the contract, and go on a date with Jason. These people were literally planning an engagement and wedding party. She hoped that Andrew would not get to find out online, Emily planned that she was going to have to summon up courage and tell Andrew the truth about everything before the engagement party came. She decided on it so that he wouldn’t have to find out about it on social media, That will make him more mad, But for now, she just has to focus on playing her role well, All she needed to do was follow the script and act the part. She would be alright, she could do it. She walked in, dressed in an exquisite outfit that left everyone in awe. The fabric, a gift from Jason, shimmered under the light, each thread woven with elegance. Her ensemble was a perfect blend of luxury and style, with vibrant colors that caught the eye, and made her stand out. She received a package the day before, from Jason. It was a box which contained 2 designer gowns, a gold and silver purse, designer shoes, and jewelry to match with it. She was to wear the outfit for the weekend she would be spending with him. It was as if Emily stepped out of a fashion magazine, radiating confidence and charm. Jason's eyes lit up as he took in her dazzling appearance, He was completely captivated by the way she carried herself, embodying grace and sophistication. As a matter of fact, this was Emily’s first time dressing that way. She was mostly used to corporate outfits, not something so shiny, She actually loved it and decided to enjoy the look. She could feel someone staring so much at her. When she turned to look, her eyes met with Jason’s own, His eyes, a cool, clear blue, held a calm strength that was both reassuring and intimidating. He was the kind of man who could weather any storm, and his eyes reflected that masculine confidence. Jay didn’t even realize he was caught up in Emily’s gaze too, He just couldn’t get over her eyes, the color of warm honey, were a window into her soul. They held a depth of emotion that was both captivating and unsettling, Her graceful slender body and short brown hair made her look so beautiful, She was a woman who wore her heart on a sleeve, and her eyes betrayed her every thought and feeling. The voice of Jay’s mother broke eye contact. “You're such a beautiful young lady,” she said. Emily couldn’t help but smile and thank her for the compliment. “Please sit down,” she said again, your welcome to our home. Mrs Natasha Michael, Jason’s mother, a very attractive-looking woman, seemed impressed with Emily, but Jay said nothing. She could tell he was staring at her at intervals, but she couldn’t tell if he was impressed, with the blank expression he kept on giving her. After some time, Don Tony came to join them, and then they all went to have dinner at the dining table that was already set up, Surprisingly for Emily, the dinner went well. Although they kept bombarding her with questions, Jay also got to speak to her a couple of times. They even introduced themselves to each other officially, After the dinner was over, and they rested a while, Don Tony instructed Jason to show Emily around, and then take her to her guest room where she would be sleeping. Now that means they will be spending time alone. Emily was kinda nervous, but she decided that she was not going to let it show.
