Prologue - Newfangled Beginning

It's been 5 years since I last saw her and everything alters a lot. From hair, eyes, lips, including her body. Everything, and all I can do is to gaze at her ravishing spotless silhouette craving she will encounter me and overhear my justification yet I know it'll never happen.

I perceive what to reveal right now not like ahead of that nothing came up from my mouth when I saw how impair she is knowing everything was falsify.

I was on the pinnacle, people were peering at me wherever I go, I could even hearken how those people mentioned the word 'I love you' in every meetings or conferrence that's phenomenon, people were frightened at me when I get demented seeing that my eyes were adequate to make them halt, doesn't even plague to talk to me seeing that I was known as a cold-hearted millionaire guy.

But those millions were useless the night I lost my gem.

Akiya Pearl.

Now, she's on the top and I am happy to see her to achieved this milestone she had been dreaming since I was with her. I ain't shock because this is expected. Akiya's family were richer than us up until now. She even looks so unreal on the poster up beside the bridge where I'm looking at.

Akiya is everywhere.

And after 5 years being called a prisoner/murderer, I am now free.

I am free but lost.

I continued walking beside the bridge and after a small steps, I stop at the center to look at the poster she's in again.

Akiya look really beautiful, she look so unreal and too high too reach. So le'me just sit in the corner and cry again.

"Hi, pogi."

I landed my gaze on a guy who's standing beside me. No, he doesn't look like a guy. A GAY. A gay who look like a professional one.

Fuck? What should I use? He or she? Ms. Or Mr.?

The gay smiled at me before showing his I.D.. I didn't hesitate to take a look at it and his name is Henry Madison a secretary of a company.

I wonder what company.

"How may I help you?" I ask him and he look shock after hearing me. He even covered his mouth with his right hand that made my eyebrow met for a second.

He gulp. "Is that your voice? Omg, it's so deep! I mean, you kinda look like a sexy hot beggar then I got goosebumps when I heard you spoke english."

Wtf? What's the big deal? And a sexy hot beggar? What the f**k? "Hmm, okay? Why, what's wrong?"

Henry suddenly screamed which made me lose my mind. Tf, ang sakit sa tenga putangina. Sarap ihulog sa tulay.

Then, Hendry stands straight. "I am Henry as you see," He showed me his I.D again and I nod. "We, in the Mattheós High Company we're tracking down temporary secretary."

Mattheós. So, Henry is from Mattheós Company. What a great fate. f**k.

I shook my head upon going away when he grabbed my arm leads me to look at him again. "Hoy, kuya, malaki kikitain mo dito. Sayang ang kapogian mo kung dito kalang sa lansangan."

I sighed annoyingly. "Not me. I don't want to go there."

"Bakit naman? Maganda boss namin, sige na. Dala kalang credentials mo. Please, pogi? Pasadong pasado ka 'dun sa amin!" Nagpapacute siya sa harapan ko dahilan para mapangiwi ako.

Damn, the face. Is this the f*****g perks of being a gay? A gay is now showing me his cute side and it cringes the hella out of me. Just for me to agree with his offer.

"Sorry, I don't have any credentials. I don't have someone to lean on and I'm all by myself. I have nowhere to go so I know other guys are more suitable for being a secretary, not me." I said seriously which made him look sad before pouting.

Stop pitying me dude. I said in my mind.

I am waiting for his words when Henry smiled at me. He take something from his pocket before giving it to me. I take a look at it and it's a calling card which has two names on it.

Him and the other one is Akiya.

I smiled bitterly reading their company's motto. Is that even existing? The motto? We are MATTEÓS so come with us. I wonder if I will, will Akiya remember me?

Will Akiya accept me?

I landed my gaze to Henry. "So what do you want me to do with this?"

Henry rolled his eyes. Tf. "Call us. You can call our boss too, sobrang bait niyan." Such a fact.

"Wala nga akong pera, paano pa kaya kapag tatawag?" Giit ko kaya huminga ito ng malalim kasabay ng paghinga nito ng malalim at halatang frustrated sa akin.

Imma agree. Akiya is such an angel. I could still reminisced seeing her the first time inside that fckng bus. Sobrang amo ng mukha niya to the point hindi niya na feel na meron siya.

I did a small laugh before I heard Henry's voice. "Tanginamo, kuya. Sumama kana sa'kin, gagawan kita pekeng credentials." Saad nito na siyang ikinatawa ko ng pahilim.

Damn this gay, he really wants me to be there. Ano nalang kaya sasabihin ni Akiya?

"But I don't want to."

"Do it for me, please?"

"Why would I?"

Halatang naiinis na si Henry dahil sa pamumula ng pisnge niya. "Alam mo, sumama ka nalang sa'kin. Hindi naman kita ibubugaw." Inis nitong saad dahilan para matawa ako ng tuluyan.

I look at him for a seconds before sighing.

I was proficient just like before, so since I need a thing, I have to do this.

I ain't rich just like before so I need to engulf my pride and be with this gay. Wala naman mawawala sa'kin kasi walang wala naman ako.

I have nothing.

Okay na ako kung okay rin si Akiya. I'll be there to apply and not for her to listen with my elucidation.

I need lucre to live and as I said, I have nothing. I don't want to go and live with my mom either. I don't want to feel underworld anymore.

I am satisfied of being unbridled but irretrievable at the same time.

"Promise me one thing, Henry," I started and Henry nod continuously which made me feel at ease.

"After fulfilling my onus , I want you to burn my credentials, stop looking for me, and forget about me. As well as your boss, tell her too. I don't care how will you do it, but please." I said seriously which made him stilled.

I sounded like a boss, I know. I was a boss before, and I know how company runs. Credentials are boss's priorities, ilang sekretarya lang ang pwedeng makatago noon and if Henry will be the one who'll keep it, then it's not hard for him to burn it.

I don't want to make a fake credentials.

I want to be real just for one day because I never had the chance when I was with my girlfriend which is Akiya.

"Sure! Fake naman 'y–"

"No to fake informations."

Henry nod without any hesitations which made me smile.

Great.

"I'm ready."

Yes, I'm ready and there's no turning back. Act professional for work is work. Who knows, baka hindi ako accepted but at least I did my part.

"Name?" Henry asked.

"I am Vhon Felix Halvarsson."
