Tamika - dead or alive

Hovering above her body lying dead on the rooftop with tears in her eyes and wondering what had driven her into doing this to herself. Regret was all that filled her mind as she sat down next to her motionless body, reliving the moments in life that had led up to this moment of misery, regret and complete agony. Pictures of her family walking up there and discovering her stiff cold body on the concrete floor, with nothing but pain in their eyes flooded her head. Regardless of all these thoughts, something didn't feel right. Tamika doesn't remember doing this to herself, she couldn't have. It is true that she had a lot built up and had thought severally of suicide, but she had never had the courage to. She always backed out last minute. So how is it that her body laid down motionless on the cold concrete floor with nothing but snow like foam existing out of her mouth? She had to find out how, she had to know who did this to her. On the floor next to her undiscovered body she sat and began making an effort to remember the activities that had taken place earlier that day. Tamika had always thought that when death devours you it cuts you completely and you're gone. As simple as it is, it seemed not to be the case. That morning she remembers everything as it happened. She remembered her psycho cousin Mike, a twenty year old visiting from Florida while both her aunt and his moms took a trip to Africa. He was supposed to stay awhile and then leave when they returned the following week. That night, the twins Carly and Fred had decided to stay over at a friend's house, and Tamika was left with Mike and her very tired dad who already went to bed after a long day at work. The house was very silent and because she wasn't used to it since it's never like this she couldn't stand it. She decided to watch her favorite show on Netflix before going to bed and decided to go down stairs to the living room where the big flat screen TV was located. As she sat there alone in the dark, after some minutes she found herself falling asleep and decided to turn everything off and go to sleep, but before that she noticed something odd. The light at the end of the hall was turned on. She remembered turning it off earlier, but doesn't seem to think much about it while heading to turn it off again. As she walked down the dark hallway her imagination seemed to be running wild. Everything seemed to be monsters ready to get her. Her shadow had already transformed into a dark witch mimicking her every move while the rug underneath her to a pool of cobras. She hits her head with her already trembling hands, trying to knock out all the negative thoughts but to no avail. On reaching the end of the dark hallway, she walks to the switch as quickly as she can. While she tried to turn off the light she was hit by a sudden wave of cold wind. It sent shivers down her spine and with her legs feeling like melted butter on the hard floor she decided to turn back and return to sleep. As she was leaving she was dragged swiftly by a figure whose face she couldn't see nor identify in the dark.
