LEON'S POV I needed to got ready like a perfect gentleman. I couldn't afford any type of mistakes from my side as finally the day had came when I will be able to express my true feelings to my Edel. Yes, I call her Edel but only when I was talking about her to myself but it's a secret as She had no knowledge as about all these things. I know somewhere she too had the same feelings for me as I had for her. This is obvious because I was her mate and both of us had felt the connection every time when we were together and neither of us could deny this fact. Third person's Pov "Leon you are looking handsome in their outfit, killer look Bro. After looking at you, I bet Alice couldn't say no." Ben said hugging him tightly. "I really need your support guys, I really don't know why I am getting so much nervous, my palms are getting wet automatically, moreover my body is shaking. I want to use washroom again." he said these lines too fast that neither of the two guys standing before him had any idea want he was saying verbally but his through his body language, they were able to understand what was actually happening with their best friend Leon. Around 15 minutes later, Leon somehow came out of the wash room to see both of him best friend was waiting for him to get ready for the party. He too wants to be part of the party and propose Alice in front of everyone but he was super nervous as this was the first time in his life when he would be asking a girl to be his girlfriend and this fact was enough to made him use washroom again and again due to excessive pressure of making everything perfect. He sat on one of the chairs placed near the study table and was murmuring which was loud to heard by everyone. “ I guess giving presentation one after another on topics related to legal environment and business is way too easier than to stand in front of Alice and accept what I feel for her. I am feeling like because of this excessive pressure I will die before I express my feelings for her. “ " Too much Leon, what has happened to you, my friend? You are the most popular boy of the university so why you are giving pressure to yourself? Why you are so nervous? My dear friend everything will be alright. I bet she will accept your proposal." Noah said looking directly in his eyes giving the assurance that everything will be alright. This gesture of Noah had helped Leon as after 1 hour of struggle both of his friends were able to develop positivity and confidence so that he could successfully complete the thing he wanted to do. " I could do that guys. I know I love her and I have the confidence to make her feel like she is the most special person in my life." Leon said with full confidence. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Finally three friends got ready for the Freshers party which was organized by the University faculty for welcoming the fresh students. Leon was selected to give the welcome speech for the freshers. Although he was nervous, he could not show the same in front of others. Soon three of the friends reached party on time. Everyone was oozing at them as they were looking extremely handsome in their three piece royal suit. Ella the most beautiful and popular girl of the university approached Leon and hugged him. He was totally shocked behind her action as in the entire session neither of them had talked to each other not even for once so he was not able to understand what was the reason she pulled out this stunt. Suddenly she moved more nearer to his ears and said, “ Dear it's only for tonight, I want you as my date otherwise I will lose the challenge. " she said with a evil smile and winked at him. In place of saying anything and degrading his mood, he decided to move away from the place. Soon he reached the back stage as within a very short period of time he was going to give the welcome speech for the party. But his eyes were searching something who only with her presence was able to bring comfort to his heart. Suddenly someone with a sweet voice called him, " Hey Senior, all the best for your performance. Although I know you will rock yet I wanted to hug you tightly to encourage you." Alice, the lady love of Leon said and immediately hugged him. . ( He secretly named her Edel which means precious as she meant exactly the same for him . ) As soon as she hugged him, he was in another universe, he was not able to understand how to react but just before he was about to hugged her, the moment ended between her and she broke the hug and looked at him with her beautiful doe shaped eyes with a questioning look like she was asking, whether everything was alright with him? He immediately understood and assured her that he was alright but was little nervous about the speech. She smiled and said, "You will do great Senior. " This motivation had definitely helped him as within 5 minutes after this, he was standing on the stage with his confidence and glory , facing cameras from all directions and was ready to deliver his speech. Soon he started his speech by wishing the senior authorities and teachers. Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to raise a toast to all the new faces in here. New faces that we don't know till now but would wish to know. The same new faces that once belonged to us an year ago. The same new faces that, over ashort period of time, will no more be, 'NEW' faces. But faces they are now to us, and yes 'new' faces. Well, I speak on behalf of all the second year students of MBA here. Just a few lines of how we all feel at this juncture. Here I go. Newness or novelty has been intriguing and fascinating to man since the Neanderthal times. Novelty for us is excitement and exuberance, surprise and science, cheerfulness and joy, hope and happiness, boldness and buoyancy, positive ness and passion. But men as we all are, novelty to us also means risk, unfamiliarity, uncertainty, fear, doubt and disturbance. In the same token, the old and the established stands for 'the familiar and comfortable', 'knowledgeable and therefore able', 'mature and therefore trustworthy','rugged and therefore reliable.' But all this goes with accusations of 'stagnation and staleness','out-of-date and outmoded ness' and 'the slow and the stumped'. What I wish to express using all the 'adjectives'that I used is that these new faces in here, our juniors for the coming year, represent to us the same hope and challenge as new players in different teams or new twists in a good story. And we, as seniors,should ideally be the matured bunch, a bunch of guys and gals they could trust and depend upon. Lastly I wanted to welcome everyone of you all to be a part of this amazing family. After delivering the speech, he stepped down the stage not before handing out the program schedule to Noah. Soon the party starts and everyone started to enjoy the beauty of the evening. Leon was searching Alice to confess his feelings but before that Ella approached him for the dance. For an instance, he was shocked as why she was again troubling him but soon he remembered the exact reason why she was with him. He was thinking to reject her but before he could do anything Alice came before them and said, " Ella, Andrew is calling you for something." " Let him wait for some time as now I want to be with Leon. So stop troubling us to little brat." she said with a disgusting look. Leon didn't like the way Ella was treating Alice but he wanted to see what Alice can do to handle this situation. " Ella, I have heard it's something related to the pagent going to happen this weekend and maybe that was the reason, he was calling you." Alice said in a single flow. "Pagent Ooo my god, you know I will win that, so little brat gear up to lose." She laughed mimickly and went out of the place. As Ella left the place, there was silence between Alice and Leon. None of them were saying anything only looking at each other with smile on their face. " So, Alice since my partner is not with me, Will you mind to be my partner in the dance floor." Leon said with a smile. Alice smiled and nodded which confirmed that she wanted to dance with him. Soon both of them were in the dance floor, dancing with the beat, enjoying each other's company. A time came when both of them were so into each other that they forgot about the whole world, only they will able to feel each other's company. Somewhere it was the dream which came true for Leon. For the first day he saw Alice, he was attracted to her. It totally confused him as why he was so addicted to her but then his friends told him about mates and their signs, he understood Alice was his mate and since both of them were made for each other, he decided to propose her in a special day and it could not be better then Freshers party. So these days he totally behaved as a gentleman in front of Alice so that he could be befriend with her and know her well before taking this huge decision of life. After spending those beautiful days with her, he was fully sure that Moon Goddess had selected the right person for his life. Today when Alice showed her possessiveness toward him, he was really happy. At last when they were dancing, both of them were able to feel the spark in their bodies and he was able to understand that she also felt the same. He was very happy as what he wanted was going to happen. Suddenly he dragged Alice out of the dancing area and moved to the terrace of the building, he had beautifully decorated it with balloons, scented candles, ribbons and the breeze blowing was making the environment more romantic. " Senior, why we have came her?" she asked her as she was confused as why all these arrangements were made. " Sssssshhhhh, please no more questions, please feel the moment my Edel." Leon said keeping the finger on her mouth and holding her, both of them moved towards the end of the terrace were the whole arrangement was made. As soon as he did so there was a spark generated in both of their bodies but neither of them said anything but there was tears in Alice's eyes. As soon as both of them reached the end , Leon got into his knees and took out the box from his pocket and said, " Alice both of us know, we are attracted to each other as we are mates, we could not live without each other, we are destinated together in every situation so Alice Smith would you be my girlfriend, my mate? " He took out the ring from the box and keeping it in front of her. Alice didn't say anything, only there was tears in her eyes, she was not able to form sentences. It was a situation where she wanted to say many things but nothing was coming out of her mouth. She was breathing heavily and was sweating profoundly, somehow she managed to say three words before fainting and the words were "I reject you" As soon as he heard these words the whole world shattered in front of him, he felt like everything had finished in his life as his mate had rejected him, who was actually made for him by the Moon Goddess. But soon he recovered as someone he cared was lying down, he immediately took water and threw few drops of it on her face, after sometime she regained her senses but as soon as she saw Leon in front of her, she hugged him tightly and started crying. " Forgive me Leon, I can't do this, I can't accept you." She said and ran downstairs leaving Leon all alone in the terrace with lot of questions running his head and which was enough to make him depressed. It was really unexpected as it was clear that she too know he was her mate and he was truly a gentleman so what was the reason behind her rejection, he wanted to know.
