I was taking longer than usual to walk home from campus because I dreaded arriving. I would need to talk with Ryland, and I didn’t know if I was ready for it. The truth was, I had been struggling badly recently. College wasn’t going as great as I had hoped. I failed one of my assessments, something I had never done before. Yes, I am doing great in some classes, but I should be doing great in all. I am not stupid. I am intelligent, that was the one thing I’d always had going for me, or maybe I thought I was, except high school was nothing compared to now.
It had been stressing me out. Not only that, but work had been crazy busy too, and Matty always seemed to be around. He was everywhere I turned with his creepy looks and s****l remarks. I was sure he has gotten to the stage
