Liam POV
"What the hell just happened? How in the hell did she know my name?" Seth roared once we were in the SUV.
"I don't know. There is no way she knew that we were coming or who you are," I told Seth. He looked like he didn't believe me.
"Not unless she had a seer tell her." Seth hissed
"Possibly, however, that wouldn't explain how the witch knew your name," I said
To say Seth was pissed would be a gross understatement. He didn't like being told no. I tried to tell him that it would not be as simple and easy as he thought it would be. He still wasn't accustomed to the modern world, where we weren't feared and revered anymore. Nor were we one of the dominant species. No, that hasn't been the case for thousands of years.
"Why weren't you double over in pain like the rest of us?" he growled. I was hoping that he hadn't notice. I didn't want to tell him that the witch might be my blood mate. One, it disgusted me to no end that my blood mate was a witch; again, that isn't possible. And two because I knew that Seth would use it to his advantage to get the land. I never wanted to see her again. Unfortunately, I don't think that is going to be the case.
"I am waiting," he growled
"The witch could be my blood mate," I said in disgust
"That's not possible. The witch must have bewitched you in some way to make you think that. There is no way that a nonvampire could be you blood mate, much less a witch." he spat
"Precisely what I am thinking," I said. If I am honest with myself, I knew that was a bunch of b**t. I was trying to convince myself that she had cast a spell on me or bewitched me. The truth is that she is my blood mate, which made it even more disturbing.
If the witch had cast a spell or bewitched me in any way into thinking she was my blood mate, I would have smelled her magic on me. We laid eyes on each other for the first time today, so when would she had the chance to cast the spell or bewitch me. I felt the pull of my blood before I even laid eyes on her. It still didn't make any sense.
I could feel and see the wheels in Seth's head-turning. I knew that he was going to use this to his advantage. After all, for better or worse, this was our way to get the land. For the first time in thousands of years, we had a way to reclaim the land that had been stolen from us. I knew that Seth wasn't going to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.
"We can use this to our advantage. You will claim the witch as your blood mate and then go through the bonding ritual to bond you to her. Then you will kill her after the ritual. Since she is not truly your blood mate, you should have no problem killing her. Since you will be her husband and she has no children, the land will become yours." Seth told me.
I didn't want to do this. I wasn't going to end well for any of us. There was no way in hell that I would tell him that he was wrong and that I thought she was indeed my blood mate. No, not if I wanted to live still, that is. I did take comfort in that I would have her before I killed her that I was looking forward to and couldn't wait. Little did I know then that once I claimed her that she would be mine forever, whether I liked it or not.

The plan was that Seth and I would go to the witches tomorrow, and I would claim her as my blood mate. The hope was that the witch would want to be claimed by me. Once she agreed to it, we would have s*x, and I would take a small amount of her blood while scr*wing her. Under normal circumstances, she would also drink some of my blood. This would then bond us together. However, since the witch isn't a vampire, I would be the only one taking blood. Under vampire law, once a blood mate claims their mate, they need to go through the bonding ritual. She and I would complete the bonding ritual shortly after I claimed her as mine. Then I would kill her. By this time tomorrow, the land would be ours once and for all. That's what Seth was counting on, at least.
"What if she refuses to be claimed?" I asked Seth
"What does that matter? You will still claim her even if you have to do it by force," he said
"I am not about to take her by force. I am not that kind of man." I roared. How dare he think that I would force myself on her. That's not going to happen.
"What does it matter. First off, the witch bewitched you into thinking you were her blood mate, and second she nothing but a witch. She brought this onto herself." Seth said.
"I refuse to take the witch by force, though. That is not who I am, regardless of the circumstances." I told him
"You will claim her no matter what, even if that means you have to r*p* that b***h to do it. I will not let you or anyone else get in my way of us finally getting back that which is rightfully ours. Do I make myself clear?" He roared.
"Yes," I said through gritted teeth.
I wasn't sure I could go through with this plan. Especially if the witch refused, which I had a feeling she would. There had to be another way. That didn't involve violence. I just had to figure out what that was.
"On second thought, she still needs to pay for the way she treated us. After you claim her, we won't' do the bonding ritual right away. No, instead pass her around to the men. Let them have a couple of turns with her. It will serve her right." he said
The thought of any man other than me having her enraged me and sickened me all at the same time. How dare he even suggest a thing. I need to keep my cool. He still thinks that she bewitched me into thinking that I was her blood mate. However, I am pretty sure that even if he didn't believe that, he would still choose this course of action.
"What about the human that lives with her?" I asked, trying not to show what I thought of this plan.
"She will serve and service us if she wishes to live. Should she not want to, then we kill her." Seth said coldly
I needed to develop another plan that would get Seth what he wanted without the cruelty and violence this was sure to bring. This wasn't the ancient world where this type of action was appropriate. No, now this would cause war again. A war that we were not prepared for and could quickly lose.
