Chapter Four
Ava
“Ava, come meet the host, Teddi Finley.” Abigail introduced us, and I was awestruck to meet the biggest female biochemist in the business and national host.
“Nice to meet you, Ava.” Teddi reached for my hand, but I froze up.
“She is a huge fan,” Abigail told her.
“I can tell.” Teddi chuckled and patted me on the arm.
“Sorry, I’ve wanted to meet you for so long,” I stuttered.
“No worries. I’m just like you.”
“You’re one of the main reasons I got into science,” I rambled on. A group of reporters approached us.
“What made you want to come here?” she questioned.
“We have to save that for the show, Teddi,” Abigail cut in, and I stepped to the side as the makeup artist started to apply makeup on her.
“Maybe we can have a chat later when all of this is over,” Teddi mut
