Two days later.
I spent the two days laid up with Ava. We pushed our flight back because I wanted to have those moments from the office that we didn’t get to have because of interruptions. One thing I’d forgotten to tell Ava about was that my family, mostly my aunt Kennedy, was a handful. Uncle Bernie let her do whatever she wanted. She prided herself on being the head of the family and my dad’s older sister, so her ego was bigger than the president’s. She clashed often with my mom when I was growing up and finally my dad told her to back off or he’d never come around for family events.
