⸢Divine Possession⸥.

It is a unique skill exclusive only for the gods.

This skill is needed when a god/goddess needs to descend to the surface of the world.

Normally, a god/goddess cannot descend to the world of mortals, because they are a higher being and do not belong to the universe. This is an unbreakable law of the universe. However, the skill ⸢Divine Possession⸥ can temporarily bypass this rule, but there is a catch.

In order for a god/goddess to use this skill, he or she needs to find a human vessel that is a strong devotee of him/her. The vessel must also agree wholeheartedly to the terms and conditions that they will negotiate with before ⸢Divine Possession⸥ is perform.

The ⸢Divine Possession⸥ skill was used by the goddess Luminous and descends to Berg by occupying the queen’s body in order to stop the evil scheme of the four kings.

The light emitted by the queen cleanse away the curse in her.

Seeing that made Fionna happy as she run towards queen Victoria’s side.

“M-mother…?? You’re glowing?? What is happening?? …are you alright??”

A sweet and calming voice replied to Fionna.

[Child of Victoria… I am Luminous; the goddess of Light…

Your mother and I have formed a pact…]

“A pact???”

[Indeed, in order to save you and your people, she have agreed to be my vessel and in exchange… I will deal with the four kings…]

Fionna kneel and spoke.

“L-Luminous-sama!! Forgive for my rudeness but if you fight using my mother’s body… I…I’m afraid that I will not agree to it.

They are too powerful and fighting them without getting injured is impossible. You may be fine but my mother will not be if that time comes… so, let me be your vessel in her stead!!!”

Sire Gilbert immediately disagrees.

“Princess!! You can’t! the future of Glacier is in your hands!! If anything happens to you…”

[Child of Victoria… the pact we have agreed with is between the two of us… you are not included in it… so I’m afraid that what you are suggesting is impossible.

Besides, once the pact has been agreed by the two of us, it can never be undone or less… change.]

Hearing that made Fionna strengthen her resolve to protect her mother. Then, she shouted.

“T-then! Let me fight with you and protect your back!! With that, I can protect my mother at the very least!!”

Luminous took a minute to reply. It is because she is talking to queen Vitoria in her mind.

-Are you okay with her proposal, Victoria?-

-…Yes, Luminous-sama… that child… Fionna once lost her father without being able to do anything… so it is not right for me to reject her protection… that will ruin her heart-

[Child of Victoria… very well, I shall allow you to fight alongside me and protect my back]

Fionna’s expression became brighter upon hearing the goddess’s response.

Before she stands up, she bowed her head to express her gratitude.

“Th-thank you very much! Luminous-sama”

With that, the two of them confront the four kings who is eagerly waiting to have their revenge on Luminous.

“Our patience was about to run out, if you haven’t shown yourself a little early, we might have turned this kingdom into a wasteland!! Fuhahahahahaha!!”

The red king seems to be jumping in joy because the time has come to have his revenge.

Out of the four kings, the red king is the one who holds the deepest grudge against the goddess Luminous.

Exactly one hundred thousand years ago, the four kings once serve under the goddess Luminous as her four pillars. This is way before she created the four calamity beasts.

During that time, the world of Berg is still in the process of developing and magic beasts roam the land. They are the predators of the land while the humans are just their petty prey. The people of this Berg in that time only possess a little bit of knowledge when it comes to survival and they haven’t been able to discover magic. Thus, they are much more dependent on Luminous to guide them into the right path. But, as time pass by, due to the development of the land, there was once a catastrophe called the “Wrath of the Beasts” in which the magic beasts was greatly buff and went on a rampage. That tragedy threatened the mankind of Berg and drove their numbers into almost extinction.

In order to prevent it, the goddess Luminous ordered the four kings to help the people. The four kings are not gods, they are more likely similar to angels, so they can descend to the mortal realm and interfere with it.

And so, with the help of the four kings, the people slowly recovered. By the order of Luminous, the four kings provided the people with knowledge on how to survive in which they show to the people how use the mana within them.

As time pass by, mankind has improved dramatically in using magic and manage to successfully defend themselves from the threat of the magic beasts. With the fear of the magic beasts has been finally lifted, the civilization started to grow; human settlement has started to expand, and later on, village were form which evolves into cities until it became a country.

Luminous then blessed these countries in order for them to not crumble or fall into ruin. And so, after thousands of years, the four kings continue to watch mankind. But the more they watch them, the more they see the evil in them. People killing people for money, corruption of the nobles and kings. Starvation and bullying of the weak.

These evil acts made the four kings to disgust the people that they once save. They can’t believe how things turn out like this.

During that time, they didn’t realize that they are being influence by evil. Their hearts started to obtain so much negative feelings. And a thousand years ago, they heart has been completely eaten by evil.

They then confronted Luminous and pursue here to command them to wipe out mankind. Because to the eyes of the four kings who have been clouded by evil. The people are much worse than the mindless magic beasts.

But Luminous saw through them and saw that they have been influence by evil. And so, she ignored them and also commanded them to not touch the people of Berg.

This made the red king very furious. As he is the one who have been greatly influence by evil among the four of them.

Not being able to hold back, they ignored Luminous command and decided to descend on Berg and purge its people.

Thankfully, Luminous predicted this scenario and she manage to halt their evil plan.

They then fought for seven days and seven nights straight until Luminous manage to seal them using her ultimate sealing spell ⸢Sisidlan⸥. But before that happen, she needed to destroy their bodies completely and extract their magic powers. ⸢Sisidlan⸥ is pretty much indestructible but it has some restriction, which is it can only completely seal a soul and not the physical body. That’s why Luminous has no choice.

During the battle, the red king was the only one who has a little bit of sanity left and he saw how Luminous disintegrated his brothers and himself. The sight and pain of that was added to his hatred towards Luminous.

After successfully sealing them, Luminous then uses their magic power and fuse them within the four familiars she has created. Thus, the four calamity beasts were born.

Even though they have been corrupted by evil, Luminous agrees with them that the people of her world are being greatly corrupted by evil. Therefore, as an apology for her former subordinates, she then commanded the calamity beasts to purge those who have been swayed by evil and those who do not recognize her as their goddess anymore.

And that is the story behind Luminous and the four kings.

“I can still clearly see the time when you brutally killed us!! It makes my blood boils!! You dare sacrifice us for the sake of these disgusting ants!!”

[It was needed red king, you four has been under the control of evil and the only thing that can save you all is for me to completely cleanse you]

“Pfft! Save us?? Don’t make me laugh Luminous! During that time, I am completely fine and yet, you still dare to kill us just to save the people of Berg!!

…But now, the same will not happen again because unlike that time, you are just using someone else’s body and your power has been reduce!!

But we have regained our full power fuhahahaha! And that princess will not be able to help you!!

And why is that you think??!! It’s because she is weak!!”

The princess is really angry as she replied.

“Wh-what did you say, you bastard???”

Before they start to attack each other, the white king proposes something.

“Now, now, I am willing to forget the past Luminous-chan, and I will also persuade these three to spare you… if you accept to become my slave *grin*

Oh! The same goes for the princess. If you serve me with all your body and soul then, we can forget this right??”

But the other three absolutely disagrees with the white king.

“Khe! Don’t lump us with you, white b***h!”

“Indeed, and besides, Luminous body is not in this world so, you can’t have her”. And so, the blue king highlighted.

“Now Luminous!!! Prepare to atone for your sins!!!”

And so, the four kings attacks.

But Luminous casted a spell and creates a beam of light that counters the four kings and made them fly away all the way to the outside of the capital.

*Arrrrrrrrhhhhhhgggg!!!!*

*Boooooggggsssshhh!!!*

Seeing that, Fionna can only say “So strong…as expected for a goddess”

[Let us hurry now, the spell ⸢Light Spear⸥ that I casted is only meant for them to move to a safe location.

This location is very dangerous because if we fight here, so many people will get caught up]

“Y-yes! Th-then let us go!!”

The then quickly pursue the four kings.

“Fuhahahaha! To think that you decided to change the location in order to save some lowly ants…

As I thought, you really are an i***t Luminous”

[Saving my people is not an idiotic act, but an act of a leader… I am the god they believe in and it is only right for me to save them!]

“Khe! You talk too much b***h Luminous!!! ⸢Black Spheres⸥!!!”

But that attack of the black king has been slashed by Fionna.

[How dare you call a goddess a b***h, black king??!!]

“Khe! Why?? What are you going to do about it?? Huh??!!”

But then, Fionna also mock the black king.

“You talk too much also, Vesta!!!

⸢Royal Stance: Ice Fang s***h⸥!!!”

But that attack was block by then red king with only his bare hands.

“Hmm… that sword of yours… it is not of Berg origin, is it??”

Fionna then step back and join Luminous in the rear. She then answered the red king.

“And so, what of it?? Are you scared now??”

“Fu…fuhahahaha! No, not that, it’s just that, I saw earlier that you used that sword to try to catch the black king’s ⸢Dark Plague⸥ and it only took a c***k and did not turn to ash”

“And so?? What is your point??”

“Fuhahahaha! Nothing, I can just say that fighting you will be somewhat not boring because of that sword”

-[Indeed, I can feel a foreign mana that is not of this world within that sword?? Where did she get it?? …I might be able to seal these four again with the help of this sword of hers]-

[Child of Victoria… I have a plan… are you able to unleash that sword’s full potential??]

“Fionna…”

“My name is Fionna, Luminous-sama, can you call me that as part of us working together??”

After hearing that, Luminous smiles and look at Fionna for a second.

“And with regards to your question, I am very sorry to say Luminous-sama, this sword has only been in my possession a few hours ago, it was a gift from the man whom I recently fought”

[Wh-what did you say?? Well, we have no choice but to gamble… I want you to distract them for a few minutes and I will start to cast my ultimate sealing spell]

-[If what this girl said is true… then that man is quite strong… too bad he’s not here anymore.

He would’ve been a great help in dealing with these four]-

But while Luminous is thinking, Fionna rejected her order.

“I’m afraid that will be impossible, Luminous-sama… I can hardly fight one of them and you are telling me to take on all four of them”

[…that’s true, I apologize for giving you a suicide command]

“N-no… it’s alright… we just need to work together and do our best to defeat them”

Then a voice replied to them from behind. It was sire Gilbert.

While unsheathing his sword, he stands beside Fionna and Luminous.

“Allow this old man to join you in battle fuhahaha…!”

“Oh, come on uncle, you know you’re not that old haha…”

Having sire Gilbert by her side, Fionna’s worries has been lessen.

But in the eyes of the red kings. Having sire Gilbert by their side will not change the fact that they will perish in their hands.

“Fu…fuhahahaha!! Even if you invite all the warriors here, nothing will change!!

A bunch of weaklings working together are still a bunch of weaklings, nothing much nothing less!!”

[Your point of view towards the mortals is so one-sided red king… do you really hate them that much??]

“Indeed!!! They are just disgusting weaklings who will do anything to obtain power!!”

And so, the red king attack Luminous with ⸢Incinerate⸥ but she blocks it with her defensive spell ⸢Light Reflect⸥ that also has the ability to return the attack that it just blocked.

And so, ⸢Incinerate⸥ exploded on the red king but he didn’t take much damage from it.

The blue king then joins him in battle and they both simultaneously attack luminous.

Fionna then take on the white king while sire Gilbert is fighting the black king.

Their battle is so fierce. So fierce that the surrounding ground has been burn and gravely damage form their exchanges of attacks.

*Arrrrrhhhhh!!!*

*Babababammabamabammmabam!!!!*

*Swoooshswoooshswoosh!!!!*

*Bangbangbababangbang!!!*

“Slashslashslashslashhhhhh!!*

“⸢Royal Stance: Deep Frost Bite⸥!!!”

Sire Gilbert uses one of his special moves, the ⸢Deep Frost Bite⸥ that targets the internal organs and freeze it upon contact. The black king dodges this attack but it manages to graze him.

“Khakhakha! Too bad old man, it seems that my reflexes is superior than you- arrrgh!!”

The black king vomited some blood and this makes him wonder. He then looks at the right side of his stomach and saw the freezing wound in it.

“Hahaha! It seems that I still got it! After a decade of not using this technique…

I have damaged your liver or should I say, Vesta’s liver. I bet controlling his body will be hard now”

The black king wipes the blood in his mouth and then replied with,

“Now you’ve done it, you old ant!! Haaaaaahhhhh!!!!”

The black king spread his magic power and casted ⸢Black Fox⸥ to chase sire Gilbert.

Since he knows that this attack does not absorb mana, sire Gilbert did not hesitate to cut through them and dodge the rest, but it took almost all he got to avoid them.

“Fu……. It seems that I really am getting old, my stamina has been greatly nerfed hahaha!!”

“Tch! That didn’t get you huh?? Khakhakha! Interesting!! Let’s keep this up old man!!”

The black king then chooses to fight a close combat and the both of them engages each other.

On the other hand, the fight between Fionna and the white king is a quite one. The white king is still pursuing Fionna to give herself up and be his slave for life.

“Tch! You so persistent!! I would rather die than be you your slave!!

⸢Royal Stance: Ice Dragon Thrust⸥!!!”

“*Grin* ⸢White Hand⸥”.

With that, the white king easily defected the princess attack that can normally kill an S-tier magic beasts.

“It would be a waste to kill you princess, your beauty is best to pair with me, so stop being stubborn and be mine already!!”

The white king suddenly vanishes and appears in front of the princess. He then grabs her chin and attempt to kiss her. Thankfully, Fionna manages to get away from his grasp and cast another spell against him.

“Y-you p*****t!!! ⸢Ice Field⸥!!!”

But it was ineffective, because the white king envelopes himself with ⸢White Stigma⸥ and avoid the freezing effect of ⸢Ice Field⸥.

“Too bad, I was so close to steal your lips my princess… if I’m not mistaken, you have no experience towards men… your first kiss would’ve been mine if you did not struggle sigh!!”

Hearing that made Fionna remembers Fil who is in the middle of waiting for Reg to wake up during that time. She then blushes with the thought of imagining Fil and the word kiss together.

-No no no no! concentrate Fionna! It is not the time to be thinking about that guy!! You have a very formidable opponent right now!! Distractions is not needed!!-

“Well then, shall I go for another attempt to steal your lips??*smirk*”

They then suddenly sped up and confront each other leaving broken rubble everywhere they collide.

And now, Luminous is in the middle of fighting the red and blue king in which at first look, both sides seem to have an equal amount of strength. But, if this goes on, Luminous will be in a disadvantage because Victoria’s body is nearing its limit.

“Fuhahahaha! How about you admit and let yourself be killed by us Luminous??”

While the red king is distracting Luminous with his words, the blue king launches a surprise attack.

“⸢Azure Strike⸥”

Luminous manage to dodge it perfectly, but then the red king bombard her with ⸢Red Judgement⸥; a series of fire balls that has the same effect as ⸢Incinerate⸥.

While defending from this continues attack. Luminous has been put into a pickle situation.

The blue king manages to slip her sight and she can’t feel his magic anywhere.

This situation forces her to use one of her special attacks.

[Ey….! I have no choice!! ⸢Lotus of Light⸥!!!].

This spell is both an offensive and defensive spell.

With this, the chances of being hit by a surprise attack is completely nulled.

The blue king appears at the side of the red king.

“All according to plan… ⸢Lotus of Light⸥ causes a lot of mana, I’m sure that vessel of hers will only last for about a minute at most”

“Good work blue king… then let us finish this!!!”

They both continue to bombard Luminous with ⸢Red Judgement⸥ and ⸢Azure Strike⸥.

Luminous’ ⸢Lotus of Light⸥ breaks slowly from the attacks.

*Irrrrrrhhhhhggg!!!*

*Arrrrrrhhhhhgggg!!!*

*Crackkkkkclecracccck!!*

When her defense finally breaks, the red king then launches his ultimate attack ⸢Crimson Judgement⸥.

Having no choice, Luminous completely switches to offense and attempts to dodge and counter the red king.

She successfully executed her plan and manage to sneak on the red king.

[With this, I hope the evil that is controlling you within will finally vanish!!!]

-[Victoria’s body cannot stand it anymore, so this better finish it!!]-

[ ⸢Light of Purification⸥!!!]

But in that moment, Luminous completely forgot the existence of the blue king. The blue king quickly hides as soon as the red king launches ⸢Crimson Judgement⸥ and wait on the right moment when Luminous completely give up on her defense.

Using ⸢Indigo’s Pierce⸥, he inflected a deep wound on Luminous’ body and punch a hole in her stomach.

*Arrrrrrgggggghhh!!*

Luminous then fall down to the ground.

And while at it, the red king once again casted ⸢Crimson Judgement⸥ with the aim to completely destroy her body.

Fionna saw it and quickly went to her mother’s side.

“Mother no!!!!!!”

She manages to get there in time before the ⸢Crimson Judgement⸥ hits Luminous.

But, even thought she made it in time, she can’t possibly block that attack. Until the silver moon emitted a strange light and magic powers runs through Fionna. Using instinct alone, her body swings the silver moon at full power and cut through ⸢Crimson Judgement⸥.

But after doing so, Fionna also fainted and they both falls to the ground.

Seeing how he fails, the red king didn’t let out an inch of anger but instead, he grins.

“Ho…? Interesting…”

Jake’s condition finally stabilizes and MINFI manage to get a hold on the situation. It was then she saw how despair seems to grow into the people’s heart as they saw their queen and princess fall to the ground.

That was the time she immediately contacted Fil.
