"And you're too ugly to be straight." She shot back and he held a hand over his heart.

"Mm, if I ever decide to be gay, I'm leaving your mother and coming for your daddy." He said.

"Have fun digging." She replied.

"Your father isn't dead, Leah." Zeek groaned and she looked at him.

"No, but you will be." She threatened and he held his hands up in surrender.

"They're always like this, don't worry." A guy on my left said and I looked over to find a guy with white hair, white eyebrows, almost pink eyes and extremely pale skin.

Albinism. This had to be the rarest group of friends I'd ever seen before. He was gorgeous, nevertheless. His structured jawline framed his beautiful face and his smile was breathtaking.

"I'm Kai." He said, outstretching his hand for me to shake and I took it. He then proceeded to yank me closer before throwing his arm over my shoulder.

"This is unfair." The guy next to him said and I looked over, my cheeks ready to burst at this point.

"What is?" Kai asked him and he pointed to me.

"Why does Slim always get the hot ones?" He asked and my eyes widened.

Whatever hot was, I was definitely far from it.

"I don't know. That really is unfair." Kai said, looking down at me and I looked down at my fingers as I fiddled with them.

"So tonight we're going underground for the first time since Slim got back."

"f**k yes! I missed seeing him in the ring." Lilly said and I was confuzzled.

Lunch eventually ended and as I got up to leave, Kai got up as well. He walked with me to the trash and then down the hallway.

"I bet you never realized that we take the same classes." He stated, stuffing his hands into his pockets before smirking at me and I frowned.

"We do?" I asked shyly, brushing some hair behind my ears and he nodded.

"Since you got here. But I'm always out back or asleep so that's probably why." He laughed, shaking his head.

"So why today?" I asked and he smirked.

"Slim instructed that I find out who's been f*****g with you." He said bluntly, as if this wasn't unnecessary.

"Can you...not tell him anything?" I asked quietly and he furrowed his eyebrows.

"So someone has been harassing you." He said to himself and I sighed.

"Yes. But it's fine. I'm still alive, aren't I?" I asked him, my voice uneven.

"You can be alive physically. But mentally, you're not there." He said and I was blown away.

"I haven't thought about that." I said as I walked into our class and sat. He took a seat next to me before resting his head on the desk.

"Well now you know." He smiled and within seconds, he was out cold.

I placed my head down as well before taking some time to fall asleep.

School was finished and I got home with much struggle. The bus didn't come and as I walked home, kids followed and harrassed me as well.

But the best part was when a car drove by and a boy stuck his head out of the window and yelled:

"Faster, Fatass!"

That wasn't funny. No, what was funny was when his mother stopped the car and made him walk with me.

I was a giggling mess after that, forgetting that I had been crying just moments earlier as I looked at his embarrassed face.

I took a long nap before waking up and taking a shower. The warm water caressed my body and eased all of the tension that had built up.

When I was finished I got dressed into some black jeans, a black jacket and a black top.

I placed a black beanie on my head and grabbed my purse just as a car horn honked outside.

I peeked out and saw Leah push her head through the window of the car.

I quickly went outside and ran past the living room before going outside and getting into the car.

Inside were Kai, Leah, Zeek, Lilly and myself.

"Slim is a little late." Leah explained and I nodded.

Kai drove down the street and I focussed on the music that played softly on the radio. Leah leaned over the middle and turned it up and now,

It blasted through the car. I laughed and she sent a smile my way before playing an air guitar.

Lilly joined in and started bobbing her head to the beat of the music and is watched them in amazement.

As the car drove, headlights blared throughout the interior of the car and I glanced behind us. But I couldn't see the car properly.

Then it sped around us before cutting in front and driving far ahead. Just when I thought it was over, they slammed on the brakes, forcing our car to stop as well.

"What the f**k?" Kai asked and the door of the other car swung open.

I watched in fear as a tall figure got out and came toward our car. Then they simply knocked on Kai's glass and he rolled down the back window.

"f**k you, man." Leah told him and he laughed.

I looked properly and saw that it was Hayden. His face was grim as he stared into the car then, his eyes landed on me.

He tilted his head in a quick motion toward his car and I knew what he meant.

I slowly got out of the car, after giving Leah a smile. I walked toward his car and leaned against it as he spoke to them.

Outside was fairly cold tonight and I was glad that I chose to wear a jacket. Once he was done speaking to them, he walked over and they drove away.

"What's going on?" I asked him and he looked down at me.

"Nothing." He shrugged, stuffing his hands into his pockets and looking up briefly. "Have you eaten?" He asked and I thought for a second.

"No. But I'm not hungry." I replied, lying through my teeth and he tilted his head to the side slightly,

Something he did when he questioned something I did or said. And that's how I knew, he saw right through that lie.

"The drive-thru?" He asked and my stomach instantly growled, making me blush immediately as I knew he heard it too.
