Tattoos ran up his neck and decorated his hand as well. I felt as though every time I saw his face I drooled a little.
There were a few girls hanging around him as he leaned back, a cigarette resting just between his lips and he closed his eyes briefly as he took a long drag.
When he let it out, his shoulders slumped as he relaxed and his eyes opened again, the sunlight reflecting in then causing the grey colour to look almost white.
Then his eyes landed on mine and he looked at me, his eyes trailing down my body before they went back up to my face. Then his eyes landed on something on my head.
He looked to his left, saying something to someone before he raised his hand and signaled me over without even looking in my direction.
"He's calling you." b*****b Guy said and I sighed, slowly walking through the crowd of people.
They looked at me. But I don't feel judged, oddly enough. They didn't look at me because of my figure. They looked at me because they didn't recognize me from their group.
I went over to Hayden and he nodded toward someone and they quickly grabbed another chair and placed it next to Hayden's.
He nodded toward me, telling me to sit and I did, ignoring the hateful glance from one of the girls that hung around him.
He put out his cigarette by squeezing it with his bare fingers and dropping it onto the floor. Then he looked over at me and I was immediately mesmerized.
He was h.o.t.
"What's that?" He asked, looking up to my forehead and it was then that my brain chose to remember the marks I had obtained.
Fuck.
"I fell." I shrugged, leaning back and sighing lightly.
Everyone started crowding around us now and an entire storytelling circle was formed.
"I remember when Slim and I first met. I tried selling him snow, without realizing that he was the one I bought it from." A guy chuckled and everyone joined in.
But I didn't understand. He sells snow? Why would anyone buy snow?
"Are you coming to the party tonight?" A girl with red hair asked, her eyes looking into mine and I pursed my lips.
"What party?" I asked shyly and another girl cooed.
"She's so cute." She said and a few others nodded, making my cheeks go crimson.
"It's a welcome back party for Slim." She said, smiling over at him and he just leaned back, throwing his arm carelessly over the back of my chair.
"Wait, if she isn't afraid of him then that means she doesn't know abou-"
"Keep it that way." Hayden's deep voice spoke for the first time since this conversation started and I shivered at the tone he used.
I looked over at him and he glanced at me blankly before looking down at his phone.
"Him and I met in Juvie. I got released months before he did, though." A guy said, shrugging his shoulders and I nodded.
"Can we bring her?" The redhead asked Hayden and he stared back at her coldly.
Then she pursed her lips and nodded, looking as though she cowered away slightly and I looked over at him, sticking my lip out as I silently begged him to let me come.
Rolling his eyes, he sighed.
"Fine," he started, his eyes leaving mine and focusing on her. "But if something happens to her, it ain't gonna end well for you." He said and she bit her lip.
"Okay." She said, leaning back and the girl next to her rolled her eyes before leaning forward.
I was kinda afraid of him right now and I guess that was clear to her.
"Don't worry about it. He's only a b***h to us." She said, sipping from the cup in her hand.
"Slim is like the King of this f*****g hell hole. Even when he isn't here, nobody tries to take his place. f*****g pussies." b*****b guy chimed in and they all laughed.
"Then why don't you try, Zeek?" Redhead asked and I finally figured out his name.
"Because I'm very content with the title of being your stepfather, Lilly." He shot back and everyone laughed.
I giggled quietly, covering my mouth so that they didn't hear me but I failed. They all looked toward me and the Lily smiled.
"Awe." She said and the girl next to her agreed.
"Where'd you find her?" She asked Zeek and he rolled his eyes.
"She isn't a f*****g animal that I picked up on the side of the road, Ella." He told her and she scoffed.
"I found her in the hallway. She was falling in love with me." He said and I found myself laughing as we were the only ones that knew what he meant.
After a while the bell rang and I sighed, looking over at Hayden.
"I have to go." I told him and he nodded, standing up and waiting for me to stand as well. Once I did he nodded over to Zeek and led me inside.
"What really happened?" He asked, walking in front of me and blocking my path. Then he stuffed his hands into his pockets and looked down at me.
"Is it okay, if I don't want to talk about it?" I asked him and he sighed, nodding.
"I don't need a 'what', I need a 'who'." He told me, his eyes resting onto mine in an ice cold stare.
How does he know? It was technically due to falling.
"It's getting late. I don't want to miss another class." I told him quickly before attempting to walk around him.
I heard his deep, dark chuckle before he grabbed my arm and pulled me back in front of him. Tingles spread quickly and I bit my lip.
"See you at eight." He told me and I gave him a thumbs up before pulling my bag strap.
"Bye." I said before walking around him again and going down the hallway to my next class.
I glanced behind me and my cheeks heated up as I saw him leaning against the wall, watching me as I left.
But it wasn't a creepy look. It looked as though he was almost making sure that I got to class.
Once I did, I glanced back through the glass to see that he pushed himself off of the wall and made his was back toward the door.
But then he paused and turned around. We immediately locked eyes and I jumped away from the door and went to my seat.
Then the taunting began. I tried my best to zone them out until it was lunch and I successfully did.
Time flew by quickly and I thanked God that the bell rang, just as the teacher was about to give us our homework. We rushed out of the classroom.
People purposely pushed and shoved me and I made my way my locker before I sighed, wiping away a stray tear that fell down my cheek as I looked into my open locker.
Just a few more hours and I can go home.

Chapter 7
Chloe
It was now lunch and I strolled reluctantly toward the cafeteria to grab my lunch and eat somewhere secluded and quiet.
But as I stepped into the cafeteria, almost everyone stopped what they were doing to laugh at me.
I felt like crying. Like screaming at the top of my lungs to get all of the frustration out. But instead I stayed silent and kept my head down as I walked toward the line.
