Chapter XV

JENNIE'S POV

Lisa drives me home, this day perhaps the best day ever of my life. She might think that that was our first kiss but it wasn't. But that kiss was different from the first kiss we shared. It was delicate; there was no lust in there. It was gentle and pure.

That night Lisa and I said our goodbyes, I waved my hand until her car fades away from the view. I have happily entered the apartment.

"Where were you? I am sick worried here Jen, I can't even contact you? Are you taking your revenge on me, Jennie?" Jisoo exclaimed, is she mad? But her eyes are teary.

"Jesus, Jisoo! I was with Lisa. It was a spontaneous plan since you and Rosé have a date." I nudge her. And she was shocked.

"Wh-what are you talking about." Jisoo denied and walk to the kitchen.

"Jisoo unnie, Lisa told me that she heard you asking for a chicken while she's talking to Rosé over the phone. Why did you not tell me huh?!" She was startled.

"Uh-ahm. We did not mean to hide it from you it's just .." she said while tapping her fingers nervously on the table.

"It is fine unnie, I understand," I said hugging her.

"I like her Jendukie" she then cried" She's so cute and sweet she bought me chicken and this chicken headband isn't it cute?"Jisoo added. Jisoo is elder than me but she acts like the younger one. Hahahha. Her childish acts are cute, and she's crying while telling a story about what happened to their date. Such a baby. Hahaha

"Rosé did not complain about your chicken obsession?" I asked. Jisoo shakes her head

"She said she loves me," Jisoo said and she's swaying like a kid while a big smile plastered on her face. Oh, my unnie is really in love. She's even blushing.

"And I know you love her too, unnie. I am so happy for both of you" I said and we hugged each other.

"Y-you are suffocating me J-jen." Because I was happy for her and Rosé I hugged her tight without even knowing that she can't breathe.

"Oh. Sorry hehe" I said as I let go of her.

"So can you tell me where did you go today with Lisa?" she asked and smirking at me.

"Let's sleep unnie, I'm tired," I said and I ran to my room because I know she's going to chase me.

"Open this door, Jennie!" Jisoo said while trying to knock down my door.

"Chickenhead go to sleep now so that your height grows too!" I teased her and I heard she hissed outside.

"We are not yet done Jennie I swear to my chicken!" she said and leaves my door alone.

I can't forget this day.

Today is Friday, Jisoo and I are now taking our breakfast. Jisoo is still not giving up about asking me what happened last night so I told her everything happened that night.

"Y-you two kissed!?" she said out of shock.

"Wow, my Jennie is bringing up her Selena side. I am amused." Jisoo said while clapping her hands.

"Unnie, stop. Don't say Selena's name." I said and she just nods.

"Are you guys now a thing?" she asked me curiously.

"I don't know, unnie. But I can see that she's also happy." I said while smiling

"But what if she knows about you being the girl in the bar?" Jisoo asked me. Her question hits me. I don't want Lisa to know. I mean she will but I don't think I can tell her. I will maybe tell her after everything settled on the bar? I fell silent thinking about it.

"Jen?" I heard Jisoo.

"Ahm. I don't want to think about it, Jisoo. I will tell her maybe after I settled everything. I don't want to hurt her."

As Jisoo and I walking to our class, we saw Chaeyoung to her locker getting her books I look around to see if she's with Lisa but she's alone.

"Chaeng!" Jisoo called her.

"Jisooo" they hugged each other

"Okay lovebirds can you skip your sweetness for a while because we are getting late," I said playfully and Jisoo together with Rosé walk together leaving me alone.

"What the f**k?" I groaned.

As we entered the class I saw a new girl.

"Is this taken?" she asked Lisa. Lisa's face was indescribable. She can't even respond.

When Chaeyoung saw what happening she became furious. "Yes Nayeon, that's taken already." She said sternly and let go of Jisoo's hand to walk to Lisa.

"Rosé, it's been years." The girl said politely.

I averted my eyes to Lisa, what's wrong with her eyes? Is she about to cry?

"Don't greet me like we are friends, Nayeon." It was the first time I saw Rosé like that. "Jisoo and Jennie take your sit now." She ordered us and we followed her willingly scared to see how furious she was at that moment.

The new girl sat at the back of the room. Jisoo and I are still confused by what is happening. The room was silent. Mr. Yang started his lesson. While Lisa .. what happened to her? What happened to the smile I saw last night? Who's Nayeon?

I was full of questions this time.

The bell rings meaning the third class is already done. It is already lunchtime.

I saw Rosé alone in the cafeteria sitting at our usual table. "Hey," Jisoo said.

"Hey, come, eat with me." She said and smile at us.

"Where's Lisa?" I asked because I can't see her anywhere.

"Ah, Lisa ditched other class after the first period. She went home. She's not feeling well, unnie." Rosé said sadly.

"What happened to her?" I asked worriedly.

"She's just not feeling well" Chae fake a smile.

"My chipmunk you are lying." Jisoo interferes with us this time. "She can't be just 'not feeling' well today since they had a great night last night," Jisoo added revealing me to chaeyoung.

"You were with Lisa last night?" Rosé asked me now with shock on her face.

"Uh-I was with her. But let's not talk about it now." I said shyly and kicked Jisoo under the table.

"Ohh that's why I can't contact her last night and she goes to school so early. She even called me so happy this morning but someone just ruined the vibe." She said and the new girl named Nayeon walk passing our table.

I saw how Rosé rolled her eyes.

"Who is she?" Jisoo asked. Thank god Jisoo ask it for me.

"She's Nayeon. Lisa's ex."

Rosé's last words repeated in my head.

"I don't even know why she came back as nothing happened. I hate her." Rosé hissed and her hand became a ball of a fist.

Jisoo held her hand and look at her then look at me.

That girl was Lisa's ex. The girl who played her. But how come that kind of charming face is someone's monster in the past.

I went to the restroom as I excused myself. I still can't believe what is happening right now. But I am more worried about Lisa. I tried to call her but she wasn't answering my calls.

Nayeon was also inside the restroom fixing her hair. I did not even recognize that she's inside because I was trying to call Lisa for like a hundred times.

I was about to go out but Nayeon talks. "Jennie, right?" she said while brushing her hair.

I just nod at her. She looks at my reflection on the big mirror on the wall. "I'm Nayeon." She said and faces me.

"Lisa's girlfriend" she added. What did she just say? Who the hell she thinks she is? Maybe she doesn't know I already know how she played Lisa.

"I don't think Lisa has a girlfriend," I said politely trying to be nice to her.

She was startled at first but as soon as she recovered to what I just said "I don't know who you are to her miss, but Lisa and I never broke up. So technically, I am still her girlfriend." She said in the most annoying tone I ever heard.

I don't want to make this interaction longer because I am getting irritated with her now. I crossed my arm "Really? Oh .. I heard how she hates you. She doesn't even want to see you." I said smiling and before she could respond I left her there.

but she yelled, "That doesn't explain how she cried earlier."

That girl is really annoying. What the hell is she talking about? I just shrugged it off and I went back to our table pissed.

The class is done but Lisa wasn't returning any calls or messages I sent. She might need her time alone.

I still need to perform at the bar tonight. I should prepare for my things.

As I was performing I am searching for Lisa. But she was not around this time. It made me a little bit sad and worried. Instead of seeing Lisa, I saw someone who's familiar tonight. It was Nayeon. What is she doing here? Her presence made me sick. I get irritated just by seeing her. She's with her friends and some from her friends look familiar.

Momo...

As soon as my performance is done. I immediately went to my dressing room.

What is Momo doing here with Nayeon? How come they become friends? Momo was the one who told us about Lisa as I saw her running while crying. She's a good person. We used to go to class together in physics at my old school.

It was now 20 minutes after my performance but I am still in my dressing room. I take off my mask to remove my makeups. I was brushing my hair now when someone knocks.

"Ms. Selena, Ms. Manoban is here. She wants to talk to you. Should I let her in?" Bob called from the outside. What is Lisa doing here? I thought she wasn't here?

But I want to see her. I want to know if she's okay.

"Let her in after 5 minutes," I ordered as I put the red lipstick again and the mascara. I brush my hair messy and put my mask on.

After some time someone knocks again. I opened the door and I saw Lisa. Her eyes were sad and look like she was cried.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I-I was just checking if you are okay. I fell asleep that's why I missed your performance tonight." She said. How come she's worried about me when she is the one who has a problem?

I hugged her and she hugged me back. We hugged for some time.

"You look sad today," I said.

"Actually, last night I was so happy." Her sentence makes my heart flutter. She was really happy that night.

"But then this morning, someone from the past came back." She added. "I thought I was over her. But seeing her make me want to beg on my knees again Selena." She continues "She took me for granted but I think I still want her."

Lisa's revelation makes my heart shuttered to a million pieces. Why do you still want her Lisa? Why?

"She talked to me before I go home this morning because I couldn't bear to see her." I was just listening to her.

"We talked for a minute. She is so beautiful."

"She was so nice to me. I cried while we were talking. She hugs me, Selena." Lisa said and a weak smile is plastered on her face.

Do you really love her that you still giving her a chance to talk to you? I wasn't talking at all because I am holding back my tears and if ever I talk, I might cry. I don't want her to see that I am affected by her. But why is she telling me all of this? Does she know me?

".. and we kissed." She said. Now I feel like my heart is been stabbing for a hundred times. Why do you need to tell me this? Why do you need to hurt me, Lisa? I thought what happened last night could erase everything about her. But I was wrong.

I turned my back to her. I am hurting. My heart is aching that I could feel my chest aches.

This is too much. "Why are you telling me this, Lisa?" I finally said.

"She said she wants me back."

With that sentence. A tear escaped from my eyes.

I feel like my world is crashing. I was hopeless.

I walked to the door not looking at her. "You could leave now, Lisa. I need to rest now." I said briefly hiding how hurt I am right now.

Lisa was obedient to me this time. She walks to the door and leaves. I closed the door immediately and I sobbed on the floor. Crying my heart out. Lisa still wants her. What can I do? Maybe the kiss we shared that night was nothing to the kiss they had earlier. Maybe it doesn't affect her the way it affects me.

I love you Lisa, but your heart still belongs to her ...

LISA'S POV

It was already 8:15 PM. s**t, I overslept. My eyes are still sore because I was crying the whole day. I checked my phone and saw a lot of messages from my friends. I was not able to reply to them because I was in a hurry. Selena is going to perform tonight.

I was in the bar. The stage was clear there are no chairs arranged. I was late. "Is Selena still here? Can I talk to her?" I said to the bouncer. He made me wait and go to Selena's dressing room.

"She said you should wait for 5 minutes before going inside." He said briefly.

After I waited for 5 minutes I knocked into her door.

"What's wrong?" she asked me as soon as she saw me.

"I-I was just checking if you are okay. I fell asleep that's why I missed your performance tonight." I said.

Selena hugged me and I hugged her back. We hugged for some time. I feel safe in her embrace, just like how it feels with Jennie...

"You look sad today," She said.

"Actually, last night I was so happy," I said telling her about how happy I was with Jennie last night.

"But then this morning, someone from the past came back," I added. "I thought I was over her. But seeing her make me want to beg on my knees again Selena." I continued "She took me for granted but I think I still want her." I don't know why I am telling this to Selena but I feel comfortable telling her this.

I don't want my friends to be worried about me.

This time Selena was fell silent she was just listening to me. But she's not looking to me.

"She talked to me before I go home this morning because I couldn't bear to see her." She was just listening to me.

"We talked for a minute. She was so beautiful." I added. Selena was uneasy this time but I still continued.

"She was so nice to me. I cried while we were talking. She hugs me, Selena." I said while remembering our talk earlier.

".. and we kissed, "I said. She turned my back to me. I was confused.

"Why are you telling me this, Lisa?" She finally said.

"She said she wants me back." My last sentence made her sigh as if she's holding some tears back. She was not facing me that's why I can't see her face.

She then walked to the door not looking at me. Why are you so cold, Selena? I asked myself.

"You could leave now, Lisa. I need to rest now." She said briefly. Her face was sad and her eyes are a little bit red. But I don't want to be an ass right now that's why I leave her. She closed the door immediately as soon as I am out.

Suddenly I remember Jennie.
