Chapter XIV

JENNIE'S POV

Thank God today is a holiday and I woke up 10 in the morning. I want to ask Jisoo unnie to come with me today at the mall.

"Unnie? Are you awake now? Can you accompany me to the mall?" I said while walking to the kitchen. I did not hear any response. Is she still asleep?

I went to her room and surprised that no one is in there. Where is she this early? Did she forget again that it is a holiday today? s**t. She might go to the school alone I should call her!

When I was going back to the kitchen where I placed my phone near to the toaster I saw a sticky note.

"Jenduek! I'll be out today. You are sleeping like a baby that is why I decided not to interfere with your sleep as you were snoring loudly. Luckily we don't share the same room because you snore like a truck. I'll be home late so don't wait for me. Take care! - Jichuu"

Why did she not tell me that she's going to go out? and alone? Where could she possibly go? I'll text her.

Where are you?

Why the hell did you not invite me to come with you?

Are you all by yourself?

Do you have a problem unnie?

I texted her consecutively and I waited for her reply.

Don't worry too much, Jen. I'm not alone and don't ask who I am with, I'll tell you when I'm ready okay? Just cheer me up okay? And don't ask a lot of questions I am not answering you. Ppoong!

Jichuu

10:18 AM

Are you dating someone now? Aish you need to introduce me to that person first! But I'll let you slipped this time but you have to introduce me to that person, arasso? Have a nice date Jisoo unnie. Don't do 'it' to your first date! – I replied to her.

I don't know she likes someone now, I mean I know she likes Chaeyoung but there's another one? My Jisoo is growing feelings for someone behind my back. Anyway, the only thing that doesn't grow is her height.

Maybe I'll go to the mall alone. I need to shop for new clothes.

As I finished taking a bath I opened my dressing room and look for some nice dress to wear, I saw Lisa's clothes that she lend me that night. It made me smile and nervous at the same time. Lisa doesn't need to know now. Now that we are getting closer.

After I finished my makeup that I don't really need to give time because I have a pretty face already (lol self-conceited) I look for my car keys but suddenly remembered that Jisoo and I are sharing one car here because we always go together. I sighed. I decided to call a cab to go to the mall.

LISA'S POV

I am walking alone in the mall right now because Rosé was not in her house. I was thinking about where she could be in this hour so I dialed her number.

Ring ..

Ring ..

"Chaeyoungie where are you?" I asked as she answered the phone.

"I-I'm with a friend right now Lis." She answered but I heard someone in the background "Rosé-yah! I want chickeeeeen."

"Is that Jisoo unnie? Are you with her?" I asked curiously.

"I-I need to go, Lisa, I can't hear you. Byeee!" she then hung up the phone. Damn. Are they dating already??

"What the f**k?" I hissed at my phone. Did she just hang up with me? But the thought of Rosé and Jisoo makes me giggle. Maybe they are starting to date each other now.

As I walk to the clothing lines to buy new clothes I saw a familiar figure picking some dress and she's having trouble what kind of color she's going to buy. It was Jennie.

"The red one looks good to you." I blurted out. Jennie looks in my direction.

"Lisa?" she said out of shock. "Why are you here?" she added.

"Uhm because people go to the mall to buy something, I guess?" I answered her and I gained a glare from her. "Hahahaha. You look like a snobbish cat when you do that." I said teasing her.

"Aish. I am not snobbish!" she protested like a child.

"Alright." I sigh at defeat because she's really cute when she's acting like a child. "But the red dress for surely suits you," I added.

"Really?" she asked like she really needs someone to tell her what color she should choose. I nod at her while smiling. "Try to wear it" and I pointed to the fitting room.

"Alright stay here I'll call you once I already tried it okay? And please can you carry these for me while I am trying this?" she said handing me her shopping bags. Damn, she got 5 bags already while I have only one in my hand?

She went to the fitting area and called me after a few minutes.

"Does it fit me?" she asked. My mouth forms a perfect 'o' as I was mesmerized how she looks so good in that dress and her hair is loose. Everything about her is so perfect.

"Okay. Okay I'm going to buy this you can close your mouth now, insects might come into your mouth anytime soon." Then she closed the door of the fitting room.

"Yah!" I just yelled at her and I can hear she's laughing inside the fitting room.

While we are walking I asked her. "Why are you alone here Jennie?" I said while she's eyeing some stuff while we are walking.

"Jisoo went somewhere with someone I don't know and she does not even tell me who she is with or where they are going." she pouted like she's disappointed.

"She's with Rosé," I said smiling. Jennie looks at me this time as her eyes widened.

"Wh-what? How did you know? Did Rosé tell you? How come Jisoo hides it from me aish!" she said with a lot of disappointment.

"Ani.. Rosé did not tell me. I caught them. I called her a while ago and I heard Jisoo from the background asking for a chicken." I laughed "Is your friend doesn't know anything to eat than chicken?" I asked her and we both laugh in unison.

"Aish why did they never tell us. Maybe they are shy?" she said.

"Maybe? Hahaha" I said.

"Why don't we spend this day together?" I suggested out of nowhere. "I mean if you just want to since our friends are now on their date maybe we could spend this day to you know .." I was cut off by Jennie "Of course I want to!" she said smiling at me.

"Alright!" I said happily.

We went to the amusement park. "Unnie, I want to ride the roller coaster," I said and I saw her smile fade. "You ride that, I'll just wait for you here," She said nervously. "are you scared?" I asked her.

"Ani-yah! I just don't want to ride that look how they screamed." She said pointing to the people who are riding the roller coaster at the moment.

"Don't tell me you're scared cat now huh?" I teased her.

"I told you I'm not!" she hissed.

"Then prove it to me," I smirked.

"Aish! Fine!" she sighs in defeat.

We are now on the rollercoaster. "Is this even safe?" "Hey, my seatbelt doesn't look safe." She said to the guy who is the operator. "Jen are you scared?" I said mocking her. "Of course not. I-it's just I want to make sure that this is safe." She said stuttering.

I laughed at her but she just glared at me. When the rollercoaster started to move Jennie shouted. "Jennie we are just taking off save your voice for later," I said laughing but Jennie is nervous. She looks like a scared cat.

"Lisa Manoban I will kill you once this ride is done!!!!" she yelled as the ride become wilder. I laughed at her, all she did from the start is to scream that she's going to kill me. In the middle of the ride she's screaming really hard and I decided to hold her hand. "You are with me Jennie, don't be scared!" I shouted for her to hear. She became calm and she holds my hand tightly. We both scream to death once the ride becomes wilder and wilder.

"I thought I will not survive that phew!" she said while panting. I was smiling at her because she looks really cute. Up there she's like a child begging for her candy. I love to see her sides. Jennie never failed to amuse me.

"Yah! Why are you smiling! Are you making fun of me again?" She asked me and tried to walk out away from me. But before she did I held her wrist "Wait." I said and she stops. I face her. "Your hair looks like a bird's nest. People might think you are crazy" I giggled "Let me fix it." I added and combed her hair with my fingers. I am taller than Jennie that's why she's looking up at me. "Yo-you don't have to do that." She said shyly. "But I want to." I saw her gulp and she's blushing this time.

She looks so cute when she's shy. I pinch her left cheek. "Yaaah! Don't pinch me!" she said, "Then stop being cute!" I said and she blushed again. I pinch her right cheek now. "I told you to stop being cute!" 

"I am not! I am born like this, so deal with it!" she said proudly.

"Hayys. You are full of yourself!" I teased her. "Whatever you say. I'm hungry let's eat?" she said showing her gummy smile. My heart pounds every time she's smiling like that. What are you doing to me Jennie Kim.

We ate at the restaurant inside the amusement park. Jennie insisted to pay for what we ate but I paid for it. "Since you did not let me pay, let's just ride the Ferris wheel." She said while nudging me. "You want to ride that?" I asked her in disbelief. "That ride is too slow Jen," I said but she's already dragging me to the Ferris wheel. She's small but she's strong aish.

"Yes I want to ride that and I want you to come with me." She said more of an order.

We are now inside the Ferris wheel. "Lisa look, the city lights are great," Jennie said and her smile is so sweet. I did not answer her because again, I am lost in her beauty.

"Let's take a picture?" I suggested

"Jennie .." I said and she just hummed as a response while her head is leaning on my shoulder. Her hand was at my lap drawing circles on my pants.

"Have you been in love with someone?" I asked her out of nowhere. I want to know her more. I need to make sure what I am feeling for her. Because every time I am with Jennie, I feel like everything is perfect. That's why I want to know her more. I want to know everything about her. Because every time I am discovering her sides it's making me fall for her harder.

Jennie looks at me, her eyes look into mine. We don't break any contacts until she looks out of the Ferris wheel's window again.

"I was in love with someone.." she said. "But like what happened to you, she also betrayed me." She continues. "But she asked for forgiveness, asking me to come back. But what she did to me is too much. But I already move on. It's just I can't believe that I even fight for her and choose her over my family." She said and she looks at me laughing.

"My family does not approve of my relationship with Stacy. They said she's just using me but I chose to believe her, instead. My family was close to disowned me because of my decision but then I discovered that my father was telling the truth. Thank God they still accepted me after I ran away." Her revelation caught me off guard. But now I have a reason why she hates me when she heard that I was a womanizer which is not true at all. But her family should be something big to be like that. I knew it. She doesn't come from an average family.

"I knew it. So you do not come from a simple family aren't you?" I asked her and she was shocked.

"I never told you I was." She just simply said and smile at me. "That's why you can afford to be in our school," I said proudly.

"Aish. Whatever Lisa. I never want to tell everyone about my family because I want them to look at me as me, you know what I mean right? People in the business always expect something bigger and will watch every move you do like what is happening to you right now, everyone is gossiping about you." She said. She was right. "Jisoo and I came from a business family." She added.

"Have you heard about the 'The Kims' Empire'?" she asked. "Yeah, my mom once talked about them while we are eating," I said, I could remember because we barely eat together.

"My family and Jisoo's family owns that. My father and Jisoo's are best friends like us. They have a lot of business, to sum up. My mother almost thinks that they have a relationship because of their closeness hahaha" she said while laughing.

"Ohh I see," I said briefly. "You never failed to surprise me, cat-eyed girl," I said smirking at her. "You have a lot of mystery inside you. And I want to unravel it." I said and winked at her. I saw her face changed like she's shocked. Maybe because I winked at her? Hahahaha.

The ride was done. We are walking now to where I parked my car, we did not realize that we are holding each other's hand.

"Lisa." She said and I look at her, I can't even hide my smile right now because we are swaying our hands like a couple. "Hmm" I said.

"I enjoyed this day. I am longing for some more." She said while smiling and I can feel my face heated.

"We will do more, Jennie," I said and I smiled shyly to her.

Jennie stops from walking which made me stop too. "Is there a prob-"but before I could finish my sentence, Jennie pulled me for a kiss. It was soft and delicate. I was startled at first but when she is about to pull away I deepen the kiss. Her lips are soft and it's so sweet. The best feeling I ever felt. I can feel that she's smiling between our kiss. My heart was racing, I could hear that her heart is in the same state right now.

It was our first kiss, her lips feel familiar but I think this was different from any kiss I shared with others. This is something real. Maybe this is love. Maybe I am in love.
