Davina's POV “You never called me, Davina.” Parkers voice was low, filled with hurt.  I hated seeing him like this. I hated knowing I caused this. I took a deep breath then turned to meet his gaze.  “I know. I didn’t want you in any trouble with the pack. More specifically my father. While he never scared me, he is still a force to be reckoned with. I never wanted you to be put in a position where you had to choose the pack, or me.” I took a big gulp of the scotch next to me, “So, I took myself out of the equation.”  I searched Parker’s face, trying to see how he was feeling. Hoping he understood where I came from, that I never wanted him to get hurt.  “I see, it’s too bad that you couldn’t let me decide what was best for me on my own.” His tone was cold and clipped. Parker’s eyes stayed locked on mine.  His blue eyes had always reminded me of steel. Now, they were like cold metal. His once wild locks were now tamed and laid handsomely across his forehead. The blonde curls made him look much like the lion he was.  I’d almost forgotten how good-looking he was, and aging had only made it better. He was wearing a black button down shirt. It clang to his skin beautifully, accentuating his very very muscular figure. His once bare face, now had the stubble of a five o’clock shadow. And man, did he pull it off. The lips I’d once kissed, seemed seasoned, and sweet. The fullness of them made me want to kiss him right here.  “You look good.” The words slipped out of my mouth before I could stop them. It was true though, he did look good, really good.  There was a small flicker of his lips, not quite a smile, but it was there. He motioned to the waiter, “Two more of what she’s having.” The young man nodded. “You don’t look so bad yourself, you’ve grown up.”  Xander let out a small cough, reminding me that he and Willow were still with us. I bowed my head before turning to Xander. Xander was handsome. His caramel brown hair reminded me of that rapper, G-Eazy. It was buzzed on the sides, while the top was long and laid over, looking rather fluffy. He had a white button down, with a black blazer. He had deep brown, almost black eyes and his warm ivory skin complemented Willow’s pale complexion. He looked a great deal like his father. Willow and Xander were a beautiful couple. The way she’s looking at him, eyes so full of love. It was angelic.  “So Xander, are you a Delta as well?” I turned my whole body towards him as the waiter approached with another round of scotch.  “Yes, like father like son.” He laughed, taking Willow’s hand in his.  “My father is going to love that. He’s a Delta too, ya know!” Willow’s voice had a hint of a squeal in there. She was so excited.  Willow’s the youngest of four boys, so her family has high expectations for her mate. Xander will make a great addition to Robinson clan.  “So, Willow. What is it you do? I mean, Willow tells me you stay busy with work.” Xander continued.  I glanced over at Parker, who seemed disinterested in the conversation going on, then back to Xander and gave a smile, “Well, in short I’m a Wolf on Wall Street.” I winked at Willow, who giggled.  Xander let out a hearty laugh, even Parker gave a small laugh. “In all seriousness, I’m a Financial Advisor. I help people decide how to invest their money, how to spend properly, and come up with budgets. The owner of this fine establishment is actually a client of mine. He’s also the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack.”  I watched Parker’s face twitch. Is he jealous? He took a drink of his scotch and motioned to the waiter again.  Parker mumbled at an almost inaudible level, “Just a client, huh?”  I scoffed, “Yes, just a client.” I cast a glare his way. I smoothed out my dress and looked up to Parker, “Why are you in New York? Crescents aren’t exactly fond of life outside of NOLA.” I clasped my hands together and placed them on the table. His eyes darkened as he smirked, “Pack business is none of your concern, now is it?”  I raised my brow. Who was he talking to like that? I know damn well Crescents don’t leave the Big Easy unless it’s important.  Xander and Willow shared a concerned look with one another. I’m sure it was about the tension. And maybe the staring contest that Parker and I were having.  You could cut the tension with a butter knife. It had a s****l edge to it as well. In our teen years, Parker and I had no issues pawing at each other to get our rocks off, then going back to buddies ten minutes after.  Looking at his stubbled face though, even being frustrated, I couldn’t help but picture what that stubble felt like between my legs.  I wet my lips, and I swear his dark gaze turned black with desire.  The waiter interrupted us, thankfully, asking for our orders. After gathering up our menus he asked if we wanted another round, we all nodded. A laugh came from Xander, “If we aren’t careful, were going to be sloshed before we know it.”  Willow and I giggled in agreement.  Once our meals arrived, the dinner went smoothly. Parker avoided eye contact with me, while Xander was full of questions about what it was like being a rogue. Willow shot me a look near the end that told me she and I were not finished with this conversation. I nodded at her. I figured as much. “Davina, Willow told me that you own your own high rise?” Xander’s attempt to make small talk at such an awkward dinner was admirable.  I smiled at him, “Yeah, I do! It’s in TriBeCa. I actually have a guest room set up if you and Willow would like to use it for the evening?” Willow’s face flushed red, matching her hair and Xander laughed before turning to me, “We actually got a hotel room.”  “Oh, that’s great. You guys have—“ I was cut off mid sentence by a honeyed male voice, “I’m so sorry to interrupt, I wanted to see if I could interest you all in complementary desserts? I owe Ms. Doucet here an apology.”  I turned around to see Adam Rossi, my client. Handsome devil. I rolled my eyes, “You think chocolate soufflés will apologize for not telling me you planned on opening up a restaurant?” I shot him a playful wink.  A shameful grin spread across his mouth, “Of course not, that’s why I intend to make it up to you at dinner. Would tomorrow evening be good?”  Oh the things I want to do to his mouth. Being sexually attracted to two men at this table probably was not wise, and it certainly has my pulse going haywire. But, hey, I'm a modern woman. s****l liberation and all. Damn. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten laid. I internally rolled my eyes. I normally have no problems getting a man for dinner and a lay, but lately I’ve been in a dry spell.  I felt my cheeks burn, Adam Rossi is a very handsome man. He’s the most eligible bachelor in New York, and among she-wolves, the most sought after mate. He’s twenty-eight years old and was destined to be successful even without becoming alpha. His raven black hair was trimmed neatly on the sides, and gelled perfectly on top. He had the most azure eyes I had ever seen, bright and full of life. Of course, like most Alpha’s he was in particularly good shape. Although despite being the most eligible bachelor, he was rather humble, it was refreshing.  I normally had a no dating policy for my clients, but for Adam… I could make an exception. Or two. Hell, Adam was the type of man you’d bare children for if it meant a night in the sack together.  I gave him a flirtatious smile, “I would love—“ “Tomorrow she’s having dinner with me.” I snapped by head to Parker and my brows furrowed, what the hell? Adam blushed, looking slightly embarrassed “That’s okay. Maybe another time?”  I gave him a reassuring smile, “I’ll call Camille and set up a date for this weekend.” I grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze.  His smile beamed. He nodded before giving a soft peck to my cheek and wished us goodnight before leaving.  Willow waggled her eyebrows at me after he left causing a giggle.  As the night continued, things became less tense and even Parker looked like he was enjoying himself.  The young waiter approached our table cautiously and cleared his throat, “I hope you all had a wonderful evening, your meal has already been taken care of. Mr. Rossi is looking forward to hearing from you Ms. Doucet.” I nodded and thanked him. Willow waggled her eyebrows at me yet again, “Oooo, a date with Mr. Rossi, huh?” I gave her a girlish giggle.  I stood up from the table and pressed my dress into place, “As lovely as this evening has been, I’m going to head home. Early morning and all.” Willow stood up to give me a warm hug, as did Xander. I shot Parker a curt nod and he lifted his chin up to me and shot back his drink before clanking it back on the table.  I felt a pair of eyes on my ass as I exited the restaurant. I wasn’t sure if they were Parker’s, or Adams though.  As I was waiting for my town car I heard my name being called, turning around to see who it was, my brows furrowed.  “What do you want?” His voice trembled a bit, “Uh, well.” Parker rubbed the back of his neck, “They’re kinda using the only hotel room we got. Is there any chance I can use your guest room?” My brows stayed furrowed, “Are you sure that’s a good idea?” I searched his face, and spotted the tiniest of smiles, “I promise I’ll stay in my room, you won’t even know I’m there.” I smirked, somehow I highly doubt that. “Alright, I guess you better get in,” I motioned to the black Cadillac pulling up to the curb.
