When the breeze picked up, Lena didn't know she had began to run. She ran across the road, clinging to her black briefcase. The rain then began to pour. It was not what she had expected her day to be like. Running in a white dress and heels as mud splattered all over her feet. She finally got to the gate of her house and sighed. She pushed the door open and went in. A hand wrapped around her as she got in. "i didn't know you were here " she said Lena cucumber didn't like living. And no one could change her mind. The day started off drab for her. The newspaper boy had thrown her paper in a pool of water again. The dull color of the sky wanted to shove her back inside. Anolsi was a dead looking town. It reminded Lena of her childhood and it's horrific memories. The people of Anolsi were a quirky bunch, many of them seemed happy in the peanut sized town. Lena couldn't comprehend it.  A neighbor waves at her. It was mrs Fala. She had an incomprehensible smile on her face. Lena waved back, rolling her eyes while stretching her lips. She turned back to go inside. It was time for her to go to work. She tossed on her jacket and picked up an umbrella. She thought it might rain. By the time she arrived at the office, she was handed an huge file. "Morning Lena. It's time you pull your weight around her" her supervisor said. "Morning Gina" she replied dryly Hera sat on her bench going through the file. It was a new client, he wanted to refurbish his wine factory. She had to go to meet team 5. On her way up, she ran into Domer. "Hey girl. What's good" Domer said "Same ol, same ol. How is your retirement preparation going?" lena asked "Great. I'll be off in a month! Then it's vacation time for me " " i wish i was in your shoes now. I can't wait to retire " Lena sighed, A small part of her mind echoed that she can't wait to die "what's with you girl, you're young! Enjoy your youth, good hair and perky boobs!" Domer gave a throaty laugh Lena rolled her eyes and revealed her teeth It was getting dark when she returned from work. Lena packed at the usual spot and starred at the moon. After packing the car well, she got out of the car. She looked around her and noticed her neighbor was walking his dog. Lena looked at him. She thought that he was even weirder than the other Anolsi people. He was always as happy go lucky as the rest of them. But when alone, he looked like darkness. He noticed her and looked up. She looked in his eyes and there was nothing there. She felt a shiver all over. She tried to attribute it to the non existent wind but knew deep down it wasn't it. All of a sudden, he looked totally different. He perked up and had shiny eyes and a smile from ear to ear. "Hey Lena! Fancy seeing you outside by this time. You're usually copped up in your home like a caged bird "he smiled sardonically "Hi neighbor" she replied bored "So how was work today "he asked personally He came towards her with his dog marching along. " I hate dogs "she muttered under her breath "What did you say? " he asked " nothing" she lied "so? What's up " he shot up an eyebrow " same ol, same ol." "I'm Plades by the way "he said, stretching his hand Hera ignores it after eyeing it briefly. " I know who you are "she replied " Really? " He seemed fascinated by that. "weirdo" Lena thought to herself "I didnt think you knew who i am. I saw you at the brunch party pratically being forced to stay by your coworkers.' Lena nodded slightly annoyed. she was not interested in small talk, but he was handsome and smelt so good. He c****d his head to the side slightly and said  "You hate this town don"t you. But don"t hate me too" Then he walked off leaving his pleasant behind.
