Chapter One-Tessa is setup
Tessa raised her eyes from the document in her hands and stared at the broad shouldered, sharp jawline, clear eyes guy, seating on the desk.
It wouldn’t be so bad marrying such a guy without love.
“If you obey all my wishes you will not only finish fashion school, but I will make you a well known fashion designer, this is my promise to you”
He definitely kept all his promises Tessa says to herself, as she stares at the huge diamond ring on her finger, she was now known as the fiancée to the next tycoon of The Racoon Group of Companies Incorporated.
She studied the threat card. This one was different. It carried another message – meet me 10pm at the Swiss bar. Come alone, we need to talk.
Tessa stared at the latest threat she received from Bailey.
Bailey was after her life, and wasn’t afraid to show it.
Threats followed her all over Europe. She rolled her eyes wandering what Bailey had to talk about, if not more
threats.
Tessa stared at the designs held by her assistant,
“Ruffles or pleats?”. Yawning Tessa waves her away.
She had woken up so tired, from exhausting her energy on shopping for new fabrics for the next fashion shoot.
“Why are you willing to sign this contract?” Turner had asked.
“I am in my finals in fashion school, and if I don’t pay my fees, I can as
well call myself a school dropout”
she stopped the memories from flooding in by looking around. All this wouldn’t have been possible without Turner’s
help. Her soon to be billionaire husband. But why did it feel like her world
was crashing slowly.
Picking her Birkin bag, she flips her hair. It was 9pm, she decided to hear
what Bailey had to say.
Tessa held her throat, breathing out very loudly. Her ear drums vibrated. She frantically searched for Bailey. She looked at the giant gold wristwatch on the hand that held her.
Rodrigo, Bailey’s secretary. He gestured and she followed, Bailey’s
brown braids already in sight.
“Hi Tessa!.”
Tessa dodged Bailey’s hug she hated pretenders. Bailey’s smile vanished. “sit” she ordered. The cold stool grazed her skin, as Tessa turns to the waiter who pushes a
glass of tequila and a slice of lime her way. She was a light head but the
piercing stare from Bailey’s side sent the tequila to the back of her throat. She gagged, belching instead at the sound of Bailey’s laughter.
“good girl”,
she hears Bailey say, and sees a weird admiration in her eyes. She drops the third glass with much difficulty, the waiter pushes a fourth. Were they trying to make her drunk? That was the last thought she had.
...
Bailey stared at drunk, sleeping Tessa. She slipped her hand in between her thighs, Tessa only sighed but went back to her faint snoring. Even her snoring sounded sexy. Bailey pressed on the switch lowering the
car window, she let the cool morning air caress her face.
What was this feeling? She hated her brother’s fiancée, so why did she feel
this way. She knew Tessa was very beautiful and if she wasn’t her brother's, she
Would have found her fascinating. She hated her brother so much
and had not talked to him for months, though they were in same city.
“No woman can take over the company” Grandpa Chulio’s voice rang in her head.
She had no idea of this until the very moment they gave her birth right to
her younger brother.
A brother that had met her in a world she had lived fifteen years.
Those luscious red lips. She reached for the corner of Tessa’s lip and
wiped off the red smudge, wishing those lips were hers to kiss. The tap
brought her back and she gave a dry smile to the offender of her thoughts.
“ How did my fiancée end up with you?”
“Because am gorgeous” Bailey says with a wink and a laugh
“We had few drinks”
Turner sucks teeth, scoffs and says, “You know she avoids you, as much as she can”
“Well that’s a good thing. She’s scared”
“I hate to say this, but thanks for the call”
Turner lifted Tessa in his arms, wondering how she could sleep so
peacefully, in an enemy’s car.
Bailey was a sister he wished he never had. She made life uncomfortable
for him just because of the family company. He refused to confront her on
the scandal case.
He already knew it was her through his private agent.
“Isn’t she heavy?”
Bailey asks, looking at the duo from the corner of her eyes.
“No, thanks”
“You could refuse the position you know?”
Turner stops in his tracks. “We’ve tried that before, I was almost
disowned”.
“ I know it isn’t fair, and I would do anything to help but my hands are
tied can't you see?”
Bailey laughs hysterically, “Such a sweet brother, but I still hate you.”
“You have what is rightfully mine.”
Turner shrugs his shoulders, “Do your worse”
“Oh, but I intend to”, Bailey says laughing rather wickedly.
Turner feels a pang of worry as he walks to his car. He knew his sister was
crazy and never made small of her threats, but he had been trying to play
it safe. He was still conscious of her being his elder sister. She wasn’t aware yet that a meeting had been held in his favor and he had been elected
as the current tycoon, he pitied her most of the time, but when she became
evil, his heart turns away just as fast.
…
Tessa closed her eyes at the blinding sunlight – the smell of fresh roses;
hot coffee, and bright essence, this was definitely Turner’s room.
Her eyes flew open. How had she gotten here! Memories of last night came
like a flash, worsening her headache. Her phone beeped and she reached for her purse, her eyes widening at the pictures of her and what seemed to
be Bailey kissing, oh no! She gasped.
