Chapter One I was busy looking at my phone when my friend Calome called me, her name flash on my cellphone screen. I just stared it and let it ringing for ten seconds before I finally to answered it. “Hello? What is good air you inhaled today?”I bet she is rolling her eyes now. I grin at my self and sit with back on the sofa. “For your information WE are both inhaling the same air, you’re not on the other country. Anyways I called you because, Hey Lin is inviting us for her grandmother birthday party this weekend and yu—“ “I’m not interested.” I cut her off “I have plans on weekend. Bye!” I was about to hang up the call but she shouted like there is no tomorrow. “EUNA CAROLINE HARISSMORE” Uh-oh I think I make her mad, this crazy woman. “What again?” “You will come weather you like it or not, or else I’m going to crash there again and make your whole day like a hell!” And she end up the call, bastos din ‘to eh! I am peacefully sipping at my cup of brewed coffee when I remember that I am running out of time on Calome party invitation. I put down my mug and look at my watch, I only have three hours before she come here to pick me up. I told her to pick me up becauseI am too lazy to drive with my own tonight I wan to get wasted and enjoy my self at the party. I went to my vanity mirror and see my face, I think I might use a little make up tonight since my face is looking fresh. First I put my moisturizer and tap it on my checks I gently message it lol over my face, I looked at my self I have a captivating eyes and pointed nose plus my thin soft lips I got all my features from my Mom, she. is like a goddess I only inherited my Daddy’s color it’s tan. I blink two times after applying the liquid mascara in my eye lashes, I jut have to put lipstick and i am good to go. I wear my green body con elegant silk dress it shows the curve of my body I took my Gucci hand bag before leaving my room and wait for Calome. Mabilis akong naupo sa isang couch dito sa place namin sa bar, sira ulong Calome yon hindi lang pala ‘to party kundi reunion din nang iba naming kilala. Rather to say that our old school mate and block mates from HS to Collage what the heck, I don’t even know why I did agree on this this is a….torture for me, and I don’t know why I did let her use my precious time today. Shereally gone mad at nagawa niya ako na isama dito. I am really upset right now not because she invited me here, but because I still can’t stand alone with this people who only know how to criticize others and judge their whole existence. I am not perfect I know but I don’t show my reaction when I hate someone or their personality unless they show their real color in my face. I walk to the bar counter and order a shot of Margarita, I look around the whole room everybody is busy and I am really feeling okay with that I don’t want them to see me or put their attention in me I’d rather drink here and run away later, I ask one of my driver to bring my car because I have no plans of staying here until the night went go wild. Napairap nalang ako sa hangin at sinimsim ang hawak kong alak. “Hi, C-Caroline, is that you?” Napa tingin ako sa kanan ko at tinignan ang babaeng nasa hirap ko ngayon. I don’t remember her that clear but I know she is one of our block-mates. “Yes, what can I do for you.” Ngumiti ako nang bahagya tapos ay ibinaba ang hawa kong shot glass. “I thought you’re living in France na, kelan ka pa umuwi. You look the same.” Mabilis na kumurba ang labi ko sa isa sulok, at tinignan siya na ngayon ay nag taas baba ang pag suri sakin. “Yes, I came back eight months ago and I don’t think I need to informed you ‘bout it cause for the record we are not close. And, na-da you don’t know me that well so better stop telling that I look the same.” Napakaawang ang labi niya pag ka tapos ay ngumisi. “Yeah right.. But may I ask why you’re here and showing your face here when we all know that you have no rights to come here.” She grin widely thinking that she is hitting run to mock at me and make me mad. I smile widely and walk towards her direction, she step back and blinked her eyes. One.. Two… Three… “Dear, this is my homeland and I can do whatever I want and I can show to the world what are you up to behind your lame face. Let’s see.” Umakto ako na nag iisip “Maybe telling here that you’re a mistress of the congressman in La Union.” Halos mamula siya sa gulat at hiya, I grin and roll my eyes. “Dare me…now.” Lumapit ako at binulong sa kanya bahagya siyang tumingin sa paligid at mabilis na tumalikod sakin. Napairap pa ako muli bago ako tumalikod para maubos ang laman ng shot glass ko. Weak human being.
