"Thank goodness we finally have a chance to talk," is the first thing Dia says when she walks in.
"Yes, we are sorry about that," Derek tells her as he moves to take my hand and walk me over to the sitting area. My mom and Dia follow us sitting in the chairs.
"It's okay, I understand you had a lot going on. To be honest, it was quite interesting to see everything happening, and to see how the two of you handled it, together. I commend you, too many where I'm from would never have the capacity to share their power, even with a woman they claimed to love."
