Olivia's POV
No people hate themselves as much as I hate myself, not even one.
Born is a sin to me, also to my family. I am just a punching bag that my parents vent anger on. This idea came to me when I was 5, I was punched in the face after my mother saw my father sending s*x texts with a notorious w***e in the pack.
She is known as a temperamental control freak and she is called Bomb Linda. She is the last person you want to argue with, most people quit before she is mad.
My dad, oh, I must call him General Nero as he ordered everyone, even his mother included. He never beats me or gets involved in anything about me. The only thing he does is destroy my self-esteem that I never dream of even once. He calls the 13-year-old me a useless thief because I am not financially independent, a fat pig who is always hungry, a disgusting monster who never deserves love...
I don't know when I shut my heart down completely and ignored every passerby in my life. I just feel empty and feel bored with everything.
Time flies faster than I can realize, I am 19 years old now, a short-haired girl who would be recognized as a man in most situations. I am a B-level student, barely getting attention, maybe I am invisible to everyone I suppose.
Today is just a normal day for my part-time job in the restaurant, after an exhausting day smiling at 5 people, I believe it is time to close as it is 12 p.m as I am the only living creature in the restaurant. Just after I checked the earnings, a person holds my mouth behind me, "Quiet," a cold voice is right after my neck.
Holly s**t! Another robber! Those stupid men never are intelligent enough to notice that the restaurant earns no more than a hundred a day. This man is the 3rd person who broke into the restaurant this month.
I nodded slowly but firmly and be ready to explain to Mr. 3rd about the situation.
He took his hand back, and I turn around slowly.
I expect to see a dirty and skinny teenager, but I never think what is happening: a handsome young man falls in bloodshed, looks pretty dead to me, no one would imagine that he is the one who threaten me a second ago.
I carefully probed his breath with my fingers, and he is still alive. Thank God, I don't want to find time to bury a dead body after work, but a seriously injured man also seems not to make things easy at all.
I look at him carefully. With his wheat-colored skin, long curly brown hair, a tall nose, and a height of 1.8 meters, he must be a popular lucky guy.
Suddenly the sound of glass shattering interrupted me. I crawled to the cashier counter, and two ferocious wolves broke the glass and rushed into the store.
"Are you sure it's here?" said a black wolf.
"It must be true, it smells of his blood." another brown wolf said.
"We must kill him before anyone finds him!" the first wolf roars.
I hold my breath and thought of leaving this and handsome stranger alone with these wolves, sneaking out of the store through the secret door. After all, my life is the most important thing, and I don't want to cause trouble.
But...I look at him and see his chest shake because of the pain. I hesitate, he is also a life, besides, if he dies in the store, cleaning up the bloodstains will torture me.
Thinking of this, I sigh and hurriedly pull him to the corner, slowly standing up from the cashier counter, wrapping my hands around the back of my head, and saying with trembles, "Please don't hurt me, my lords," I lower my head and pretend to be scared, observing their reaction.
"How long have you been here?" the brown wolf asks.
"What do you care about those insignificant trifles so much all the time? It is not our responsibility to care about an ordinary human! She must have heard our conversation, she must die today!" the other wolf said with impatience.
He rushes towards me and pinches my neck in an instant. I am suffocated and unable to fight against him. I have no choice but to let the black wolf control my life.
Just when I think that I would have my throat slit in the next second, the brown wolf yelled, "Don't you think you've caused enough trouble recently? The Wolf Committee originally regarded our Silver Moon Pack as a thorn in the eye. Don't be an impulsive i***t!"
The black wolf roars and throws me to the ground forcefully. I can't dodge, so I could only let my right shoulder land first. The moment I hit on the ground, I heard a muffled sound, which is the sound of a fracture.
Enduring the pain, I slowly support my body with my left hand and say, "I will absolutely keep everything that happened today in secret and will tell anyone about you, my Lords."
The two wolves glance at each other, and the brown wolf nods and says, "Why do we have to worry about an ordinary human girl? Even if she tells anyone about it, nothing will happen. Will any stupid wolves believe in a human? No one."
'You are right,' the black wolf glances me with despise.
