CHAPTER 54 I tried to sleep but with every silent minute passing by, it got even more difficult to close my eyes and fall asleep. I brushed aside the blanket over my body and rose up before heading toward the door. The wood creaked a little as I stepped out and walked across the hallway, reaching Maddox’s room door.
