~Ill follow you wherever you go, no matter where you go, I'm close behind~
"Come on, Angel, help me out here! I swear I'm never going anywhere else with you, your dead weight when you drink too much".
"Giggles, you had fun, didn't you? You know you did!"more giggles as she falls to the floor.
"You know, I should just leave you there," she said, looking down at her.
Ok, get her in her bed, and you can deal with her tomorrow, she thinks to herself.
"Here we go, almost there, you drunken fool," she said to her friend, tossing her down on her bed. Checking the locks and windows, she gets ready for bed, Turing the lights out for the night. "That's the last time I go drinking with you; she thinks to herself," shaking her head.
WATCHING
He is stalking the shadows, listening, and watching without being noticed. He can smell the blood beneath the skin, it's what drives the chase down alleyways, and of course, the woods they always run for the woods (Sadistic Laughter); your blood calls to me, beg me. They are all so willing, so thrilled to let me drain the life force pulsing through their veins, watching their lives end right before their eyes, he thinks to himself with a sadistic smile on his face. Hmmm, I'll be seeing you tomorrow, he thinks to himself as he trembled with anticipation of the hunt.
A broken heart is like shattered glass, and someone can piece the shards back together again, but it will never be the same. Every time it's broken, it walks away with a small piece of you.
She runs like her life depends on it, running from the pain and betrayal, ridding herself of all the pain she possibly can. Muscles are aching, sweat drenching the workout clothes; she keeps pushing a little bit further, challenging herself so she can reach new heights and forget everything. She smiles, feeling elated as she looks down at the scenery below, feeling like a new person. She is mesmerized by the breathtaking Mystical beauty of the trails winding around the hills and the valleys, a fog-like mist hovering above the ground slithering, weaving its way around trees, the trees littering the forest, setting off an unearthly sense. She feels that it does not matter what life throws at her; she will hold on to who she is even when her heart is still freshly broken. I am strong, and I can handle anything, she tells herself, smiling as she inhales the fresh mountain air. She feels lighter as she makes her way back down the winding trails and beaten paths. Maybe everything will work out, she thinks with a small bubble of excitement growing inside of her. Pulling out her phone to look at her new notifications, she sees more calls and messages from Robby and an unknown number. The confusion starts setting in as she reads the text, "You look ravishing, blue is your color" I prefer your long black locks down but still just as perfect up like you have it now. She decided to ignore the message; she picks up her pace slightly. Looking left, right heart, heart pounding in her chest, checking behind her constantly fear starting to build up in her mind. Ok, Ariana, breathe; it's no big deal, it's just Robby playing games as if he hasn't hurt me enough as it is, she thinks sarcastically. Twigs snapping to her left draws her attention, then to her right; she turns, and nothing is there. How stupid to come up this far alone, knowing very few people are around, scolding herself mentally. Taking slow, even deep breaths, she continues, hyper-aware of every noise she hears scanning the dense vegetation around her. Another twig breaks but this time, she knows someone is there. She doesn't see anything as she turns in circles, realizing the gravity of the situation and what an i***t she has been. As panic is starting to grip her heart, someone or something suddenly running full spread getting closer and closer as she quickly backs away turning to run when someone's arms come around her, knocking her off balance they both hit the ground as she lets out a blood-curdling scream; "Someone help me please!" "Oh my God, are you ok"? Looking into the bartender's eyes she met at the crypt the other night, she is entirely and utterly shocked, but she is relieved beyond belief. Ja"Jared? Wha- what are you doing here"? She stuttered, teeth chattering as she shivered uncontrollably from fear. "Jogging, I come here almost every day; what are you doing here alone? He asked worriedly. "Same as you, I was just fine until 10 minutes ago, and I was managing myself very well, thank you," she said evenly, unable to contain the shaking that was rocking her to her core. "I didn't mean it like that, Ariana; it is perilous for a woman to be out in a secluded area alone, especially here
" So it's not dangerous for you? She asks, slightly annoyed.
"It is dangerous for anyone Ariana! even me, but it is even more perilous for a young woman".
"Men prey on a woman up here; he said, running his hands through his hair and eyebrows scrunched up scowling at her. Did you see any other woman up here"?
Thinking about his question made her realize she had not seen any woman, or even any men alone up here. Looking up at him with her big blue eyes full of innocence, she hesitantly asks, do you have my number? "I don't remember given it to you she says, trying to rack her brain." Shaking his head as he gets up, offering her his hand, he says. "I never got your number; I almost asked, but I was too nervous, then after you told me about your ex, I wanted to give you the space you needed."
Oh, was all she could muster up with her thoughts all scrambled. The only thing occupying her mind was the sense of impending doom; she tried to put it out of her mind as she ran her hands through her hair nervously.
Are you ok? He asked concerned, your pale as a ghost, and your shaking like a leaf, he says, taking hold of her hands.
"I need to get out of here, now," she says hurriedly, panic starting to mount. She began to walk quickly back down the trails.
Wait! Talk to me; he says, pleading with his eyes keeping pace with her. What happened? You didn't run into anyone else up here, did you? He asked in a worried voice, but he had his suspicions and was pretty sure he was right.
"I need to get the hell out of here; we can talk once we get back she said with wide worried eyes and a shaking voice.
Holding his hand out to her, he says, "let's go your safe with me plus, we aren't too far now." Thank you for everything, she says with a kind smile accepting the hand he offered. A tingling sensation shot from his hands to hers as their way together down the mountain; even as his touch brought her comfort, she still could not shake this sense of foreboding consuming her, like dark clouds looming in the distance laced with bright strikes of lightning littering the skies with promises of a storm brewing. She fought the urge to look over her shoulder, too frightened of what she might see, so she kept her eyes cast down the entire way. When people and then the cars in the parking lot came into view, she was overwhelmingly relieved, but she still had a terrible feeling in the pit of her stomach.
"So about your number; why we're you asking if I had it"? Taking a deep breath as she decided to tell him the entire story even if it made her sound like a paranoid psycho "I was on my way back down when I decided to check my phone, I noticed a new message from a private number," she says deciding to hand him her phone.
Taking the phone, he read the message, his brows creases as he rubs his hands over his face knowing this is a bad sign.
Are you one hundred percent sure this isn't from your ex?
"I am pretty sure it was not him because right after I received the message, I heard movement in the woods, twigs breaking and leaves being stepped on like someone was sneaking up on me, then someone or something suddenly ran at me at full speed right before you and I ran into each other on the trail she said looking around not able to shake the feeling of being watched. Just as they are getting ready to leave, he says to her with a mischievous grin, "by the way; you now have my number in your contacts" you can text or call if you need anything or if you want to talk, I'll be more than happy to listen he said smiling done at her, with that he winked as they go their separate ways for now.
Watching her leave, he knows she is in Dager and he must protect her at all costs.
Stepping into the safety of the woods he shifts mind linking the alpha as he lets his wolf take the lead running free through the thick vegetation of the forest "Ace I'm on my way back to the pack house, we have a situation involving Silis and I'm sure is clan is involved"
"We will be here waiting" Ace replies.
