~ Chapter Twelve ~

I don't know where I was but I found a huge black steel gate. There was no one but myself staring at it for no reason.
I was not afraid of it until it opened.
"Who's there?" I asked as my voice echoed loud in the place.
"Please help me!"
Without no one answering, I decided to enter past the long road.
As I venture my way in, it led me to a dark forest. Fog and mist were everywhere misleading me to a dark creature.
Frightened I screamed and ran away but it flew. It flew to get me out of danger.
"Don't scream."
"I will always protect you." The dark angel said and vanished.
"NO DON'T LEAVE!" I struggled out of breath waking up from my subtle dream.
I finally dreamt of my dark angel but what was that suppose to mean?
I noticed that I was already in my room all fine and safe. Then I remembered Eric was the one who helped me yesterday.
I took my phone and to see it was already 3:00 am. I wonder where Eric slept?
Going down to the living room, I saw Eric on the sofa sleeping. He indeed slept uncomfortably that made me wake him up to sleep in one of my guest rooms.
"Eric get up."
"What?" He asked.
"I'll take to you the guest room you should sleep comfortably there," I said as he slowly gets up from the sofa.
I can't believe I'm letting this guy sleep in my house nonetheless I slept in his house too so I think it's fair enough that I should at least help him.
When I brought him to the guest room, I thought he would enter immediately but he didn't. He stopped and faced me to check on something.
"Are you okay now?" He asked.
"Yes, thank you by the way," I said and after he smiled patting my head.
"Goodnight Andrea."
"Goodnight Eric, sleep well."

"Andrea..."
"Hmm.."
"Andrea wake up..."
"Five more minutes please...."
"Andrea we're gonna be late for work."
Slowly opening my eyes I saw Eric's face shining so damn bright.
Since when did I find him attractive?
"Wake up Doctor breakfast is ready."
What? Did he make breakfast?
"I know you don't have anything in the fridge that's why I went to the grocery and even went home to get changed."
"You went home?"
"Yeah, I actually moved out and transferred here in your place."
"What?! Why?"
"We'll talk later now get up before I change my mind." He said then left me in my room unable to think of what he said.
"Whatever Andrea." I groan and smiled.
I never had someone cook for me before. It was always me who prepares the food when I was with Daniel.
I'm sure that if Eric would have a girlfriend she would be the luckiest one.
After preparing myself to work. I came down to the stairs with a very sensitive smell.
Damn, it really smells delicious that my stomach started to grumble.
"Hungry?"
"I didn't know that you're a chef doctor."
"Just today."
"You don't cook for others?"
"Except for my parents."
"I see."
Right after he placed the food into my plate I started to dig in the sweet taste of lasagna. Damn, it's too mouth watering and I really felt like I was living in Italia.
"You know what? You can quit being a doctor now, this is just so good!"
"I left some and I put it in the fridge I knew you would love to eat it later."
"Oh yes, I do."
Later on, we decided to go to work together. Eric didn't want me to use my car because he insisted that were just neighbors and I would be wasting my gas if I did ride my car to work when in fact we only live near to each other.
Yup, we are apparently living under the same neighborhood and his house was just next to mine and that's why he called me yesterday so that we can have time to celebrate together.
But why would we even celebrate?
Nevermind.
"Omygosh since when did you two became close?" Athena asked out of curiosity which is not a good idea.
"Since we became partners for the operation, why?"
"Nothing it's just odd that someone dropped you to work."
Wait did Athena saw us? Oh no! If that's the case she would definitely tease me every time!
"What? No one dropped me to work." I nervously lied.
"I know my eyes have a clear vision, Andrea."
"Well then maybe you should have it checked again."
As she leans closer to me I knew that this best friend of mine won't stop getting suspicious about me and Eric.
"Fine, I'll tell you what happened." I sighed.
"Great so explain it now!" She excitedly giggled.
"Well, Eric moved in next to my house."
"And?"
"Yesterday we were actually about to go on a date- I mean an important meeting when I got my period."
"Ohh that's disgusting," Athena commented and I rolled my eyes.
"I know."
"So what happened next?"
"Okay, so he figured out about my period and brought me pizza and yogurts."
"Are you sure that was it?" She asked again as if she's finding some missing pieces from me.
I think it would be better for her to become a private detective than a doctor.
"Fine we watched twilight and I slept in his arms." I truthfully said and she immediately squealed.
I think my ears got broken.
"OMYGOSH!!! ARE YOU GUYS DATING?" She happily asked.
"What? No! Absolutely not! T-That was just friendly care."
"Whatever you know everyone wouldn't think of that."
"Well, I do because I have a favor to return."
Oops here we go again, I spoiled another story.
"What do you mean you have to return a favor?"
Letting out a heavy breath, I grab Athena slowly to a private soundproof place and told her everything that happened in a bar.
"What?! So you slept in his room?!"
"Shhh, Athena someone might hear you," I whispered.
"Okay, okay and so you let him sleep in your house right?"
I nodded.
"Omyyy so did anything happened?"
Tell me should I take her had off or should I stitch her mouth from being so loud and talkative?
"Nothing! You know what you should get into your office and check your patients okay?"
"But Andrea-" She tried to talk again but I already pushed her way out into my office.
"No, you had enough information miss."
"Fine, okay, okay, I know but you know what? You two could make a great couple." She routinely said which makes me react in the opposite direction.
"Ew no!"
"I swear Andrea you do!"
"Whatever now get out!" I glared and I'm glad she did run away but only she had a big smile plastering on her face.
After Athena left I came down to a bulk of paperwork to do when suddenly her thoughts came into my mind.
"Could we really make a good couple?"
I started thinking of the things Eric has done to me.
He always saves me from Daniel, He's always so thoughtful even though he's too arrogant, He made the things I have never experienced before, and lastly, I feel safe whenever he's around.
I like the way he smells, I like his warmth, I like his cooking and I like his smile.
I never thought I would catch a smile on my face but it was erotically weird when my heart started to pound hard.
Why am I feeling this?
Am I falling in love?
Shaking my thoughts off I tried to focus on reading and signing these papers in hand.
But what was even weirder was when a black feather entered my office door from down below. My hands and my hearts started to shake in excitement as if I knew that the dark angel is going to visit me.
I took the feather and smelled it only when I found another white one.
As I open the door and ventured out of my office, I saw Daniel standing in front of me.
Disappointed then entered my emotions.
I was hoping for someone but I found out no one.
"What do you want again?"
"Andrea is it true?" He asked which I don't understand what he meant about saying the truth?
"What truth?"
"Is it true that you're seeing someone?" He asked out of anger and pain.
"Did Athena told you that?" I asked him back.
"Answer me!" He yelled which made me boil in anger.
Heated started to enter my body as I felt my face burn hot in anger and annoyance.
"Don't you yell at me! and why would you care if I date someone else? We broke up remember?" I spat out angrily.
I don't know if it was just me but I saw how Daniel's face got shocked and returned to being angry again.
Maybe it was because I never got angry with him before.
"I would care, Andrea! I would care because I love you!" He heartedly says which is not making any sense to me, as if everything he says was meant to be a joke.
"That's bullshit Daniel if you loved me you would never cheat." I clearly said enough for everyone to hear.
I thought things would end here but I was surprised when someone took a grab of my hand and faced Daniel.
"Eric.."
"What is your problem, Demetre?" He said to Daniel.
"Demetre?"
Who's that?
"I knew you would do this," Daniel answered Eric.
"You knew this wouldn't happen if only you took good care of her." Eric spat back.
Wait.
Do they exactly know each other?
"She's mine!"
Oh, I'm not your Daniel, not ever again.
"Then I'm taking her back." Eric angrily greeted his teeth with eyes looking like he would kill someone.
Daniel didn't have the chance to talk with me though when Eric called the guards that made Daniel leave.
"Are you okay?" Eric asked me.
I would feel extremely better if not all people in sacred hospital is starting talk about both of us holding each other's hand.
"Way much better," I answered smiling my hear felt so much flattered.
