The poor girl with the calabash

Once there lived a girl,who was mistreated by her step mom because her mom had died a long time ago due to cancer.She was then left to stay with a woman who later married her dad.Her father was always traveling to villages to look for jobs so as to feed his family but all that was in vain because no matter how hard he tried the money he would get was not still enough.The girl's name was Alicia,she was a very hardworking girl despite of the family 's background and the rejection by the community.Alicia was a student at wonders academy in a village called panda village.Alicia was very hard working and gentle she used to help with work at home so as to avoid quarrels with her step mom .She had a habit of waking up early in the morning doing her chores and after that she takes her book and starts studying.Her mom was a very cruel person , she hit her at every chance she got but Alicia endured it all and never told her dad about it.One day Alicia went to the farm to take some fruits and vegetables for them to at least have something to eat. A few minutes later she started walking around the farm to check any problem around and she noticed a green looking object she moved close to see what it was but sawa calabash and decided to smash it and she did and lots of money came out and a man appeared and said little girl I placed the calabash here because I saw your suffering please keep the money in a safe place and use it wisely for you and your father's benefit do not let your step mom see it ok.she said ok I will do it as you said ,I will ensure that she does not see it,thank you let me go home before it's too late I do not want to get into trouble with my step mom .She went home and gave her father the money her dad said where did you get the money she explained to him very carefully and he understood.The next morning they packed their bags and left for the city leaving the step mom sleeping .Since then the woman never saw them again but had stories about their good life in the city and regretted treating Alicia badly.
