I lifted Claudia in my arms and placed her on her bed, finding the metal collar that we used to secure the capture near the sheets. Immediately turning to challenge Joseph.
“What did you do?” I yelled.
He was beside himself speechless. A complete mess unlike I had ever seen him before.
When his eyes stared over, I shoved the collar into his hands. “Why didn’t you tell me?” was the first thing he said.
