She blinked at him as if she were seeing him for the first time. She must have been as surprised as I was to hear him say that. She seemed to settle down as she looked up at me. The currents between us slowly began flowing as I dialed the watch back. She had been released from whatever prison kept her away. I moved the hands a little more to sense her. It sent sensations up my arm and the rest of my body. She was trembling, her heart pounding within her chest, slowly she calmed. After a moment she settled. “Where is everybody?” she simply asked, looking around her room. She was probably confused as to how she had gotten there. “They’ve all gone home,” I answered.
