“OSCAR NO, I TOLD YOU TO PUT THE SPICES FIRST” I screamed on top of my lungs at Oscar, who nervously grabbed the spices and threw them inside of the boiling pot. “Go easy on him, kid,” Stephen said from behind me, I angrily rubbed my forehead. “But I told you to let me cook and everyone including the captain refused, and Oscar doesn’t even know what he is doing” I roared at Stephen who just burst out laughing. Then Stephen shot me a death glare that said ‘apologize to Oscar, now”, I huffed at Stephen then I turned around to face Oscar. “Oscar, I apologize for treating you like this earlier, I am just mad because you are the worst cook I have ever seen in my entire life,” I told Oscar and he just chuckled, causing me to smirk. “Clay, the captain wants you in his office,” a deep voice that belonged to Edward said behind me, I patted Oscar’s shoulder and I turned around and walked outside the kitchen and made my way to Elias’s office. It has been two days since I and Elias kissed, and since then he has been treating me better than before, not so good but still better. He is still acting as if when I first met him whenever when we are around the crew; I do not blame him for not wanting to show his soft side to the crew. I knocked three times on the door, with a blink of an eye the door flew wide open. Elias angrily grabbed my wrist and yanked me inside and closed the door behind me, I was about to turn around to look at him but he roughly pushed me down on the chair; I ignored the burning pain and managed to glare at him. He pushed the chair in front of me with his foot and sat down in front of me. “May I ask, what the bloody hell is wrong with you?” I angrily asked. He was resting both elbows on his knees, and his eyes were dark. “We were forced to change the direction of the ship and now we are lost,” He angrily roared and I raised a brow at him. “And what does that have to do with me?” I quietly asked. I have a bad feeling in my gut. “Your bloody brother is the damn reason,” He said, calming down a little. “Come again?” I pinched the bridge of my nose. Cain, I am killing you the minute I see you. “HE RAN PAST SOLDIERS, AND HE TOLD THEM THAT HE KNOWS WHERE THE PERSON THEY WANT IS, WELL IT’S ON OUR SHIP, DO YOU KNOW WHO THAT PERSON IS? YOU” Elias screamed in my face, I looked away and I curled my fists in anger. He easily sold me out, what if the soldiers did not recognize him so he gave them information in order of running away. “But we are lucky because the soldiers went after him, that bastard thought that he will get away with it this easily if he sold us out. His ship is ahead of us and as soon as my foot hits the sand, I am shooting him,” Elias said in a quiet tone. As much as I wanted him to kill Cain, I still will not be able to watch the captain shoot my brother. “No, you are not killing my brother,” I told Elias, and he let out a loud scoff. “You don’t get to tell me what to do,” he said and I stood up and took a couple of steps in his direction until I was standing in front of him. Even when he is sitting down, he is still taller than I am. “Captain,” I whispered as I placed my palms on the sides of his face, causing him to look at me. “Let me talk to him first, if something happens I will happily watch you shoot him, but first let me understand why he did this,” I said and his eyes got softer, and when he realized that he quickly pushed my hands away and stood up. “Don’t touch my face ever again” He angrily said and fought back a smirk. “Aye Aye Captain” I quietly said and he raised a brow at me. “And if I wanted to kill him even after you talk to him, don’t you dare stop me, or I will be throwing two bodies in the ocean instead of one,” Elias said with his eyebrow still raised. “Aye Aye Captain” I nodded again, he is losing his mind. “He is not getting easily away with this,” Elias said and I nodded at him. He sat back down and grabbed my wrist, and then he pulled me to him, causing me to fall on his lap. “W….what are you doing?” I nervously asked, and he just gave me a mischievous smirk. “I like it when you obey me” he huskily whispered in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. “And I like it when you can’t resist my touch” he whispered again in my ear, but this time his voice was deeper. My breath hitched, causing a smirk to form on his lips. “Your neck is so seductive,” He whispered. Before I had the chance to reply to that, he quickly smashed his lips on my neck. At first, I acted normal, but then I felt his tongue lick its way to my neck, causing a small whimper to escape my mouth. I instantly closed my mouth with my palm before my voice gets louder. “Do you want more?” he whispered in my ear, and I managed to nod at him and ignore that he is softly biting my ear. “I want to hear you say it,” he whispered again and a bit harder, causing me to flinch but he pinned me down on his lap. “I don’t have all day” He angrily said, I gathered the strength to answer him, but that was when someone knocked on the door. “I am killing someone today,” he mumbled under his breath as he helped me to stand up. “WHAT?” He angrily screamed as he slammed his fist on the chair, forcing me to take a couple of steps away from him. He has two personalities, or three to be more precise. Besides, he was perfectly able to change from calm to angry within a matter of fewer than five seconds. “I apologize for interrupting you Captain, but I sent here to tell you that we are near an unknown land,” One of the pirates said from the other side of the door, Elias curled his fingers into a fist. When we heard the pirate's steps get further and further, Elias walked angrily in my direction and pushed me against the wall, causing me to yelp in pain, he wrapped his fingers possessively around my neck. “I am not finished with you,” He roared in a raspy voice, I nodded at him. Then he yanked me by my wrist and pulled me outside the office, he let go of my wrist and walked in the opposite direction, this is going to be an interesting day. I took my time walking to the main deck because I am sure that Elias is now angry and he will let his anger on me. Then Elias’s voice filled the entire ship, I quickly ran to the door that leads to the deck, because I had a bad feeling inside me. The second I opened the door, I froze in my spot when the sound of shots being fire filled my ears, what my eyes were focused on was Elias who has a pistol in his hand, and a dead pirate right at his feet. Elias did not notice me until Edward nudged him with his elbow, Elias locked his eyes with mine as he wiped the bloodstains from his face, with a smirk on his face. “NO ONE, AND WHEN I SAY NO ONE I MEAN NO ONE ON THIS BLOODY SHIP HAS THE RIGHT TO TELL ME HOW TO RUN MY CREW, ONE MORE WORD FROM ANY PIRATE YOU WILL END UP LIKE HIM, AM I CLEAR?” Elias roared on top of his lungs, everyone including Edward and Stephen yelled ‘Aye Captain’. Elias glared at me then, and pointed his pistol in my direction, causing my blood to start boiling. “Am I clear?” he slowly said. I can feel my heart drop down to my foot. “A-aye aye c...Captain” I stuttered. Everyone turned around and went back to their business, leaving me and Elias glaring at each other. As much as I hate him right at this moment, I could not help but admire how handsome he is, his lips that were screaming at me saying ‘come get a taste’, and his eyes that reflected the color of the ocean, everything about this man is perfect. Well, he is perfect from the outside, from the inside he was nowhere near perfection. “Follow me” Elias roared as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside the ship, he walked me down the stairs. “There is no need to tell me to follow you if you are going to drag me like a doll” I whined, causing him to turn around and glare at me. After a few moments of walking, he pushed a door open with his foot, revealing the supplies cabin. He pushed me inside and let go of my wrist, I grabbed my wrist and I rubbed it, hoping that the pain goes away as fast as expected. “The land that is ahead of us is unknown, and there is no sign of any living. Yet, we need to get ready for the worst, but I am not sure if I trust you with a weapon” Elias said as he rested himself against the door. “Well, I am injured, so you either stay by my side to take care of me or give me a dagger or anything that will protect me” I calmly said and he raised a brow. “Why me?” he said and I had the urge to slap him. “Don’t flatter yourself, you are the strongest among the entire crew so I won’t be risking my life because my dignity won’t let me seek your help” I said in one breath, Elias looked away and bit his bottom lip, causing my stomach to turn upside down. “If that is what this is about...” He stopped mid-sentence and handed me a black dagger, which I gladly took. “Then stay by my side” he finished his last sentence, I happily nodded at him. When I realized how silly I looked nodding at him like this, I coughed and glared at him, causing him to smirk. Elias walked outside and waited for me, I walked to him and I stood in front of him, I had to look to get a good look at his face. Moreover, he did the same, but the only difference is that he had to look down to meet my face. “Why are you looking at me like I am some bounty?” He angrily said and I smirked before I turned around and made my way up the stairs to the main door, with him following closely behind me. As I walked to the main deck, I noticed that the crew was waiting for the captain’s appearance, I looked behind them and I realized that we have reached this mysterious land. To the right side of this ship, was another ship that I believe belonged to my brother, but to my surprise, the ship was empty, and there was no sign of any human being on the land ahead of us. “IS EVERYONE ARMED?” Elias's voice screamed from behind me, the crew roared as they all raised their weapons high above their head. “WHAT DO WE STAND FOR WHEN WE ARE IN AN UNKNOWN PLACE?” Elias roared once again. “NO MERCY” the entire crew roared on top of their lungs, and then they all started jumping down the ropes, some just jumping without the ropes, freaking pirates. “Are you capable of going down the ropes all by yourself?” Stephen asked me and I nodded at him, as I slowly and carefully made my way to the ground using the rope. When my feet touched the sand, something in the back of my head started telling me not to take another step.
