In Peaceful Valley . . .
All the neighbors gather on the front porch at the Lindgren’s to discuss a plan of action for Sandra’s impending invasion of Peaceful Valley. Reggie, Emily, James, Sam, and Sally are sitting around the table. John and Kathy are seated nearby. Melissa comes out of the front door with a platter of cookies she’d baked that morning, followed by Brooke and Florence with glasses and pitchers of tea. Robbie and Ronnie are sitting on the steps, while the rest are scattered about sitting cross-leg on the floor or on the remaining chairs. Emily frowns at Reggie when he takes three cookies.
