All the families converged upon the Lindgren homestead early. Reggie brought ice so everyone could have iced tea for the meeting. Brooke and Florence were there before the rest to help Melissa with breakfast for all.
When they heard the first wolf howls, Florence and Brooke began setting the table in the dining room and on the porch. James greeted the neighbors as they arrived and he and Reggie had a cigar while they waited for John and Kathy to show up. They were the last to arrive.
