Chapter 13 At the Lindgren’s the next morning . . . Reggie handed James a cooler of ice as he stepped up on the porch. James had the chairs arranged for the meeting. Sam and Sally were the last to arrive. “You two are getting old and slow just like the rest of us,” Reggie said. His remark didn’t faze Sam or Sally in the least. They knew Reggie was a smartass and they’d learned to give him a deaf ear much of the time. James showed Reggie his Dutch doors in front and back and the steel plat ing he’d installed on the bottom half and both sides. He also had enough steel for under the inside of the front windows.
