Chapter 16
At the Lindgren homestead . . .
Everyone gathered early for Kim’s baby’s and Charlotte’s funeral. Robbie and Ronnie went over to the Wimberley’s to help Lance and Zack carry Charlotte’s body to the old sycamore tree at the Lindgren’s.
Ronnie and Robbie moved Sandra from their place to the Lindgren’s and tied her up on the porch. They decided to leave her gagged until after the funeral. The people of Peaceful Valley would determine her fate at the meeting to follow the double burial.
Kim laid in bed. She mostly slept since her surgery. She lost her baby, which probably saved her life. If they could prevent an infection, Melissa was certain she would recover, but it would take weeks before she could get out of bed. She was certainly in no condition to attend the burial.
