Back in Peaceful Valley . . .
Robbie did what he could over the next couple of weeks, but that wasn’t much at first. He helped Florence with meals and setting the table, but mostly what he did was read and think. Ronnie did most of the heavier chores.
Florence didn’t care what he could and couldn’t do. She was happy he was home and healing. Her belly was growing larger every day and her walk turned into more of a waddle. She was a contented pregnant lady with Robbie safely by her side.
