Prologue
Dynasty 101, is the infamous high-rise evocative skyscraper building approximately 700 metres tall. Its glassy stories are like needles ascending territories above the remote grey clouds. As eerie as the infrastructural tower appeared, the beauty overshadowed. Dynasty 101 is the tallest and most expensive hotel in the country. Elites would throw shady amounts just to spend a night in this hotel. How important was the Dynasty for the entire country to covet staying even a night?
The prodigy for such an expressive innovation was the renowned surgeon, the first successful female surgeon in the country. Mrs. Nora Adams.
Different from any other day, there was a huge celebration in Dynasty 101; one that overshadowed the coronation of the president. It was a marriage alliance between two pure souls in love. Willow Flair and Thomas Adams.
On the third floor, in one of the premier rooms. A sweet melodic laughter resonated throughout the blank walls. Her lips were smacked together as she giggled at whatever the other person was revealing to her.
"Stop it!! We can take it slow". She accidentally bit the corner of her inner cheek.
"Slow is it? I know my brother too well for him to take anything slow. As far as I know, you could become pregnant a week later, who knows" Evelyn said, her teeth aligned perfectly as she widened them as she attempted to tease her brother's wife and couldn't help but laugh at herself.
"Thomas wouldn't do this", Willow retorted, feeling her cheeks hot from blushing because of her best friend.
Evelyn shrugged. She grinned and winked at her ten-year-old best friend. The joy she derived from teasing the adult woman was a chef's kiss.
"You cann..." Willow was about to educate the other woman before the words were swallowed at the sight of her role model and mother-in-law. The only person apart from her family she adored. Still keeping her pretty smile, her olive eyes sparkled in delight. She was very excited about her wedding.
Clearing her throat, whilst garnering her posture, she called "Mother"
Mrs. Adams laughed heartily. She adjusted the diamond dress, where its tail was making her uncomfortable, and approached the younger lady.
"You look ever so beautiful. My son's heart will be taken again for the third time", she concluded seriously. Willow quickly covered her face out of surprise and embarrassment.
"Mother, you are right. I told you, Willow" Evelyn loved where this was going. She had already made it her life objective to tease her best friend till the very end.
Feeling somewhat worried, Willow asked, "Any calls from him yet?"
"Look who is lovesick again", Evelyn laughed. Mrs. Adams glared at her daughter, before placing her hands on Willow's shoulder. She responded "Worry not, my dear. Thomas called a while ago. He'd be taking Genesis for his entrance exam and be back real quick."
"And there's still about an hour left before the wedding. Calm your nerves down", Evelyn added, rolling her eyes and in return receiving a smack on the head from her mother. Immediately, she whined and yelled "Mother, I am twenty-one, in case you have forgotten"

Meanwhile, at the entrance of the country's private high school, leaning against his black Porsche car, was the groom; Thomas Adam, a twenty-six-year-old hottie. The current CEO of Adams Group. In his black tuxedo suit, and his hair sleek to the back, he failed without not catching the attention of the students who were late for their exams. Shooing them off with his hands to hurry to the hall, he sighed, shaking his head.
'They are so young. Youths'
After waiting for a few more minutes, Thomas began to become bored and worried about missing his wedding with the love of his life. About ten minutes later, he caught the silhouette of his baby brother. The Apple of his eyes. Genesis.
"So?" He started. Genesis looked away and provocatively took himself to the car before shutting the door aggressively. Flabbergasted by his brother's sudden change of attitude and mood, Thomas hurried to the car. Feeling dejected, he stole a glance at the moody little man through the rear mirror.
Trying to continue the conversation, he asked "So? How was the exam?"
"Let me be", Genesis returned dryly.
Disturbed, and with worried eyes, Thomas inquired "Did something unusual happen back there? Do you need me to fight someone for you? Did a senior bully you? Really? Tell me who now and I will make them disappear from the surface of the earth"
"Then disappear...from her life". Genesis whispered.
"Did you say something? Someone did bully you, didn't they?" Thomas became furious as he started the engine, and took the route back home.
Saddened by his brother's mood, Thomas continues to steal glances. He wasn't stupid to not perceive the negative feeling. He was aware that something had gone wrong. He could feel it.
"Genesis, talk to me. Are you not feeling too well? Do you need to take a rest? I could postpone the wedding and..."
"This is the problem! YOU ARE NOT TAKING HER SERIOUSLY!! SHE SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST CHOICE, NOT ME!! ALL YOU DO IS BREAK HER HEART. BROTHER, YOU NEVER DESERVED HER. IT ANNOYS ME WHENEVER SHE ACTS LIKE A DAMN PUPPY WHENEVER YOU WERE AROUND!! EVEN NOW, DO YOU THINK IT IS RIGHT TO POSTPONE THE WEDDING WITHOUT ANY THOUGHTS?"
Too stunned to speak after his brother's confusing outbursts, Thomas zoomed off of Earth for a minute before coming back. He asked skeptically "Are you referring to Willow??"
"YES!!" Genesis barked. He couldn't and wouldn't take this disrespect towards the woman anymore.
Thomas laughed in a guttural voice as he spun the wheel, taking another route. He couldn't control his laughter and almost choked on his spit.
"Have you finally acknowledged her as a family? Last I remembered, you hated her guts. You'd always pick on her for everything. It is good. Very good. I am sure she will be happy to hear this."
Genesis groaned, feeling his anger and jealousy arise, yet he calmed down. He had to. She was getting married.
Outside the car, all of a sudden the weather turned foggy. Thomas concluded it would rain. Unlike every Tuesday morning, the clouds darkened, and the sun evaporated from the sky. Thomas could hear horns behind him for him to realise there was traffic.
"I think we should notify Mother about the sudden traffic. We could postpone the wedding to tomorrow". To relieve the tension inside the car, he turned the radio on, which soon played a very popular song. Bouncy by Ateez.
"Turn it off. I hate music", Genesis growled. The way he glared was very disturbing.
Eventually, the traffic dispersed and the road was free. Thomas was relieved and turned around to slightly face his brother. "Are you angry at me? Did I offend you?"
Ignored, Thomas, unfocused on the road, tried to make a great conversation but was still given the cold shoulder. Unfortunately, an eerie silence filled the place, until a huge trunk came into sight, and caught off guard, Thomas stepped on the brake to stop the car. The silence was shattered by the deafening crash of metal on metal. Shock rippled through him, cold and paralyzing as he surveyed the heartbreaking scene.
He had caused an accident.
"A-Are you okay, Genesis? D-Dont be scared. I am here for y......"
"Ahhhhhh"
"Brother!!!"
The Porsche car had suddenly collided with a trailer and spun like a top. The Porsche car was thrown off the road, somersaulting five times. In the blink of an eye, the expensive car turned into a chaos of shattered glass and twisted metal. Soon enough, the sharp tang of gasoline filled the air.
Inside the car, Thomas trembled hard as he lost his sight trying to find the hands of his brother.
"Genesis, listen to me. You will be OK. I promise to protect you" he cracked. His thoughts tumbled over each other in a frantic whirl as he tried to comprehend what just happened. He blinked, once, twice, but the scene made no sense to him. They were in a safe place. How did they get hit?
"Genesis" He called. Smoke was literally everywhere in the car, and he failed to see the other.
"Genesis" he called again. "Please respond to me" Cold fear wrapped around him, constricting his breath as he began to lose his senses. He couldn't lose his brother. Never.
"GENESIS!!" Blood trickled down his forehead, warm and sticky. A shard of glass was stuck between his elbows. It was ruinous. Very soon, he lost consciousness while apologizing to the woman of his dreams.
"realizeyou, Willow"
