Prologue
-Prologue-
And Eliana died alone, severing the bond between her and Clyde.
Clyde and Serena became rulers of the Blaze Park, living happily together.
Huh???
Huh???
“WHAT IS THE AUTHOR THINKING??”
“WHAT KIND OF ENDING IS THIS??!!”
“LIVING HAPPILY TOGETHER?!!”
“THIS IS NOT FAIRRR!!!”
I yelled as I stared at the small screen in my hand from disbelief and anger.
I could not stop the tears that gathered at the corners of my eyes.
It was taking every bit of control that I could muster for me not to smash my phone against the wall.
Well that and the fact that I was still paying for the phone bill.
“Hey are you alright? I heard shouting!”
My roommate Jessica screamed as she barged into my room with a club in hand.
“s**t Jess, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to wake you.”
“Well now you did. Gosh I thought you were being attacked or something, Mia.”
She said, breathing out a huge sigh of relief as she threw the club out of the room.
Her right hand was over her chest as she was visibly trying to catch her breath.
For some reason, I was deeply upset about the ending of the series I have been reading.
I have been following a novel series titled ‘The Alpha’s Wrong Mate’
I should have known from the title that it would be an awful novel.
“Hey are you okay?” Jessica stared at me with a worried expression on her face.
Jess is my only friend in this big city and I am grateful to her everyday because of it were not for her, it would have been impossible for me to pay the whole rent for the apartment.
We were both corporate slaves and for me, reading was something that calmed me and distracted me from the hassles from my job.
Thinking again at the ending of the novel series, I could no longer hold back the tears from my eyes.
“Hey, hey, are you having troubles with your boss again?” She asks softly pulling me into a hug.
“I would love this say you should quit but then how would you afford my birthday gift.”
She said and this was more than enough to cheer me up.
My lips quiver as I broke into a smile and my once foul mood was slowly getting better.
“I’m sorry Jess, the novel I was reading just ended really badly and just today, I needed something to go my way.”
“I get it but you have to always remember that the characters in your stories are not real. Don’t let it weigh you down too much.”
Jessica said as she made her way out of my room.
My tired frame collapsed on my bed not even bothering to remove my work clothes.
Well, Jess was right abiut one thing.
Eliana was not a real person and the horror she had faced was just fictional.
I say that but at the same time ig was hard for me to let go of the tight feeling in my chest.
My vision because blurry once again as my cheeks became stained with more tears as I thought of a young girl who does not even exist.
Why does her stiry affect me so much?
Was it because I was also abandoned by my family as a child?
Was it because I knew exactly just what it meant to be unwanted and unloved?
In the series, ‘The Alpha’s Wrong Mate’, Eliana was an outcast in an elite school.
She was an orphan and was able to attend the prestigious school on scholarship because she was intelligent.
She lived a quiet life and was quite content but that did not mean that she did not want something more for herself.
What Eliana wanted the most was a family to call her own.
Then everything changed when the captain of the hockey team, an alpha and the most popular and sought after guy in school discovered that she was his mate.
However, she was not in his class.
He would watch on the sidelines how she would be bullied and harrased.
However, when it was just the both of them alone, he would crave her affection.
Eliana suffered a great deal and even lost whe scholarship in the process but he did nothing.
Because of the mate bond, she cojkd not help but love the male lead and even wanted him to be happy.
In the end, she chose death just so he could be happy with another girl by his side.
So Eliana went through all of that jusg to die at the end?
What did she do that was so wrong to suffer so much?
She may not have been rich or popular but she deserved to be happy.
She deserved to love a quiet life with her family just like she always wished.
But she always sacrificed her peace and happiness for those around her just to get betrayed and forgotten in the end.
If I were Eliana, I would do all it took to be happy.
I would forget all about the hockey team captain and forget all about trying to make him love me.
Infact, I would change schools.
So what if it is some prestigious school. None of that mattered if death was the end.
I would choose myself first and be happy.
My eyelids grew heavy as I patted around my bed for my phone.
Huh?
What’s this?
Would you like a sequel of the novel, ‘The Alpha’s Wrong Mate’ titled ‘Eliana’s Redemption’?”
There were two boxes Yes and No.
Hmph
It seems the author at least has some sense to create something else jusg for Eliana.
Well that’s a relief.
YES.
Congratulations on entering. ‘Eliana’s Redemption.’
With that my phone disappeared from my hand and it was as if my woukd had been sucked out of my very body
Huh?
“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?”
“Eliana! If you are going to cause a disturbance in the library then I suggest you leave!”
An elderly woman seethed her eyes peering into my very soul.
“Huh?”
“Honestly, I don’t know what the school board was thinking by accepting a low born.”
She scoffed and sat back down.
“Eliana just sit down already and stop making such a ruckus.”
A girl spoke from behind me and immediately, I fell back to my seat.
What the hell was happening?
The corner of my eyes found my reflection but instead of my usual brown eyes and hair, I was greeted with the soft features of a freckled face, silver hair and grey eyes hidden behind thick rimmed glasses.
Eliana?
What the hell?
