Chapter 10 The next morning Tyler lay spooned against Ward, who was sleeping soundly. Tyler leaned on one elbow and supported his head with a hand. He looked down at Ward and lightly ran his other hand over Ward’s chest, idly playing with its covering of dark hair. He lifted Ward’s dog tags. Ward had hung them around Tyler’s neck after they had made love a second time. Ward hadn’t said anything, just took them off and put them around Tyler’s neck and kissed him. Tyler knew it meant something special to Ward to have him wear them. Of course he couldn’t keep them. It would be a dead giveaway. But for that night, he accepted them. I love this man, he thought. He’s so patient with me and my paranoia about people finding out about us. He seems so willing to let things be where I need them to
