Chapter 13 Ward lay in his bed on his back. His hands were clasped behind his head and his legs were crossed at the ankles. He smiled as he stared up at the ceiling. He had just finished his nightly phone call with Tyler. He could hardly believe what he’d heard. Tyler could not say enough about the weekend—how he almost felt he, the boys, and Ward were a family. Ward had pinched himself after they had said good night just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming. Both sets of parents had acted as if Ward and Tyler’s relationship was as normal as apple pie.
