Chapter 16
The summer came to an end. The boys went back to school. Things between Ward and Tyler were going very well. They saw each other at work every day and managed a few stolen moments together, here and there in hidden corners of the mill. Tyler became somewhat bolder about their eating lunch together either at the mill or in town. Ward often stayed for dinner at the Hugheses after work, and in order to be together as they so deeply desired, they began driving to Helmsley, a town about an hour away from Summerville. There Ward would get a room for the evening at the Star Dust Motel while Tyler waited in the truck.
