Julie Hall and Teddy the Yorkie came by the next morning. Autumn made coffee while Chrissy played ball with Teddy in the den.
“Brad was shocked at Chrissy’s discovery,” said Julie.
“I think we all were. Who expects a hand to be sticking out of the ground in the middle of a festival?”
“Or anywhere, really.” Julie poured cream in her coffee.
“Thousands of people, including us, have walked over that body for years. It’s creepy when you think about it.”
“We know the skeleton dates back to around 1935.”

“Possibly. Some DNA comparisons would be nice. Maybe Beatrice Peabody would cooperate.”
