Living was very difficult for me and occasionally, I found it so hard to breathe. His words struck my heart like an arrow.

I was a wolf and yes, that was why my uncle had sold me to the pack to work as a maid.

My younger sister on the other hand was put in a more dignifying position and a lot of people didn’t know until that night that she was my sister.

“You animal! How dare you try to ruin my day?” Her voice disrupted my thoughts and I wiped off my tears before looking up at her.

She was the last person I expected to see that minute but of course, I knew she was there to mock me. Her face was a ball of frown and she crossed her arms, leaning on one leg.

“Ruin your day?” I scoffed and stood up to look her in the eyes. It was difficult to tell we were sisters.

We differed in everything, facial shape, body structure, height, and character, everything about us was just different.

“You stole my lover. You stole the one man I love. What did I do wrong? Why do you hate me so much? You have gotten everything I should have gotten.

Mother and Father gave you everything and treated you like you were their only child. You got everything you wanted.

You can get a thousand men out there if you want. Why does it have to be the man I love?” I questioned, frustration eminent in my voice.

“The questions should be directed to the moon goddess and not me, Belleann. You should ask her why she made Alpha William my mate.” She jested.

Although I was hurt by what he had done, I could not deny the fact that I loved him. He was the one man that made me feel like a better person.

“Please….” I held her feet immediately, causing her to widen her eyes as she stared at me.

I knew I was simply making a mess of myself but it was not so easy to let him go. “You can get a lot of men out there who would love and adore you. Reject him as your mate.” I pleaded but she yanked her hands off my feet immediately.

“Are you out of your mind? Why would I do that? Are you insane?” She questioned.

“I love him more than you can imagine. He loves me too. Let us have our life together. “ I pleaded once again but she shook her head as she was visibly upset.

“You are delusional. He loves me and cares about me. Get over him. He doesn’t care about you and does not want you.” She turned to leave.

“What if wants me? What if he cares about me?” I questioned, making her halt immediately. She turned to look at me and smirked.

“You aren’t going to give up so easily, are you?” She tilted her head and smirked once again.

“If he cares about me and wants me, are you willing to let us be together? Will you let him go?” I questioned, hoping to get a positive response. “If he says…”

“If he chooses you over me, I promise to renounce my title as the Luna of this pack and exit your lives like I never existed. In addition, I will make everyone see that you are the befitting woman for the position of the Luna.” She answered and her lips curved into a half smile.

I was quite surprised at the fact that she agreed to it but I knew I had to take my chance.

“However…. If he picks me .. over you… then you would accept whatever decision I make. ”

Slowly, she raised her head to look at me in the eyes, and with a sardonic smile, she questioned.

“Do you agree?”

My heart raced as I stared back at her. Alex knew what she wanted and she would always get it no matter what. She knew how to turn every situation in her favor.

Although I was certain of his love for me, I was still quite scared. Alex never loses.

“Mhm?” She questioned again and I let out a sigh. It was quite a risk but I was sure.

“Yes,” I responded. She chuckled and called a guard to get the Alpha. My heart raced with each second that passed by.

What if he rejected me? No. I shook my head. There was no way he was going to do that. My heart raced even more as I watched him walk into the room.

I had begun to shiver out of fear and for a millisecond, I feared being rejected once again.

“You have been a great Alpha and friend to me since you found out you were my mate. I was however….” She paused and stared at me for a millisecond.. “unaware of the fact that a relationship and love story was booming underneath.

I shouldn’t have come into the picture but I have no intentions to steal you from each other.

I will leave if you want me to, without any hassle or argument or anything, and find a man who loves me elsewhere, perhaps a second chance mate.” She halted and stared at me once again.

“You can also ignore the mate bond. It would fade away with time. You have the freedom to choose the one you want to spend the rest of your life with. Me….” She slowly tilted her head to look at me. “Or…my sister.”

I diverted my gaze to William and then to her. She had a sober reflection but I could tell it was all fake. I diverted my gaze to William again as i somehow still had some hope in us.

“Belleann” He responded.
